This sandbag was really easy to fill. It took almost a full 14L (.5 Cu. ft) bag of sand to fill but it was a really easy process. The bag itself opens up and rolls down so that you do not get any sand in the valcro strip that runs along the edge of the opening. The mouth of the bag is very wide too, so it did not take very much effort to fill the bag. I used a sand bucket to dump the sand inside and it did not leave a big mess to clean up afterward. When the bag is filled, you roll the edge up and attach the valcro strips. Then, you pull the handle over the valcro cover to ensure the bag does not open back up.The sandbag is pretty heavy; the listing is accurate at around the 45lb range, depending on the amount of sand you add. I am a 5'7" and 135lb woman and I did not have difficulty moving this bag over to our umbrella. This system comes with a base that is very straightforward to put together as well and our patio umbrella fit in without issue. The sandbag has a curve to it as well, so you end up covering a lot of the base. I found that you are not limited to just an umbrella to use with this system but it is not a guarantee that what you are using will fit into the base provided. All in all I am very satisfied with this umbrella base and sandbag. I would recommend it.

Love the design of this umbrella stand. Its portable, easy to move around and holds the umbrella while taking up little space. Great for a small to midsize umbrella.

Love it. Easy to set up. But I have a problem. I put the base away last fall but when setting it up this year i pushed the pole locking ring down too far & now I can't put the pole in. How can I unlock the ring?
