Logitech H555 Laptop Headset

I have been using a set of these for about 4 years now - I notice that they are now discontinued by Logitech, so I have just ordered one more set while they are still available.I do not use them for listening to music - I don't know if they are particularly suited or not, but for music I already use Bose noise-cancelling headphones. I would not expect standard headphone sets to compete with those.I use this Logitech headset for skype and similar chat. I travel a lot with my work, and visit many countries. I carry a set of these in a soft leather pouch (that is left from an old set of Sony headphones), in my computer bag. I use Skype for international calls back to UK phones, and this headset has proved ideal.I agree with some other reviewers in that for me the volume control and microphone mute is redundant and unnecessary.My laptop has microphone and headphone sockets at the front, so I particularly want a headset that did not use a USB connection - my USB ports are usually in use for my mouse and external hard drives.According to the people that I all and speak to, the sound from the microphone is excellent and clear.Mine has led quite a rough life, but I have no problem with cables or intermittent operation. The only wear and tear I see is that the foam ear-protectors are starting to split, and I cannot yet find suitable sized replacementsI am very happy with the useability and longevity of these .

this is the third set of these headphone I have had because I like the way they fold up, but reluctantly it's the last I will buy. The left hand earpiece is attached to the wire and to the mic. Unfolding the mic to talk, and the weight of the wire, means that the left earpiece swivel joint loses its stiffness (in the most recent case, in only 8 weeks) - this means it continuall droops and falls down my ear, and as such is constantly needing adjustment.If logitech could fix this, I'd buy a truckload. Until then, I'll be moving on - it's just too annoying.Mic and sound are both good - just let down badly by this flaw which was on all 3 sets. Such a shame.

I needed some headphones for work that were light-weight, decent sound and suitable for a laptop (to allow use of IP-telephony software or soft-phone as it is also called). These suit me down to the ground and they are tucked into a corner of my bag and worked first time.

I have use and still using this head set, think it's my second headset over 12 years. Only problem is now the price to get a new headset £148 is a bit too much, well £100 to much. But this headset is one of the best for me at least, guess I have to look for something else, as I'm not going to pay £148. Thanks Logitech for gret 12 years of headset

I've tried four or five headsets recently and found this one to be, by far, the most comfortable--better than a much more expensive Senheiser for example. the over the ear pieces are well designed not to put pressure on sensitive parts and the mike seems to pick up only my voice and not other noise nearby, such as the keyboard.My only problem reservation is that it can only be used on centrally connected USB ports. The consequence is having a wire where I don't want it and having to go to the Control Panel when I want to use my speakers rather than the headphone. This is not as difficult or frustrating as it sounds once you get used to it. Just something I have to do.

I know for a fact that this headset it good. But I had to order it straight from Logitech after receiving a faulty 1.

I was initially happy with this headset. It was comfortable to wear and produced good sound quality. However, after only a few weeks the swivel joint for the microphone has become loose so that the microphone arm drops down instead of being able to be positioned as required. Disappointing!

There's nothing wrong with this headset, it does its job well, so no complaints. It cushions nicely and the sound in and out is fine.

Das ist schon mein zweiter Headset von Logitech. Der erste hat Jahrelang gedient bis ich ihn leider selbst durch Unaufmerksamkeit kaputt gemacht habe. Es war sofort klar- kommt wieder neuer her. Die Soundqualität ist super, bin aber kein Soundprofi, nutze Ihn am PC für Musik und Skype. Werde immer wieder bestellen solange es angeboten wird.

In assoluto credo che siano le migliori ciffie che abbia mai provato, sotto tutti i punti di vista.Sono facilmente adattabili a tutti i tipi di teste, grazie alle numerose posizioni che possono assumere le varie parti.Sono leggerissime, non pesano sulle orecchie segnandole, le spugnette sono morbide e non irritano.I comandi di volume e muto sono utilissimi, soprattutto quando si deve disattivare il microfono velocemente.Il microfono campiona molto bene la voce senza eco o distorsioni, l'audio delle cuffie è ottimo.Sono facilmente riponibile se uno non ne avesse bisogno, data la presenza della sacchetta, evitanto inutili intrecci con altri cavi.Qualità Logitech eccellente!Le consiglio assolutamente!

Es soll der Nachfolger des Laptop Kopfhörer sein, ist es aber in keinem Fall. Deshalb war ich enttäuscht. Das Hardcase zum Transport im Koffer fehlt, diie Möglichkeiten des Klinkenanschlusses für z.B. externe Soundcarts wurde eingestampft, d.h. der Adapter ist nicht dabei. Und wer ohnehin alle USB Steckplätze besetzt hat, wird sich auch hier fragen, warum Logitech hier die bekannte Qualität reduziert hat und eine optimale Lösung z. Zt. nicht mehr herstellt.Ein Telefonanruf bei Logitech brachte keine künftige Lösung zu einem Produkt, das sehr lange gehalten hat und leicht zu tragen war.Daher der dringende Aufruf an Logitech zur Neuauflage des Laptop Kopfhörers mit bekanntem Zubehör.Die Soundqualität hat mir gereicht, bin keine Soundprofi, sondern nutze Ihn am PC für den FS und ATC, leicht spötteln über die, deren halber Kopf hinter den überdimensionalen Ohrdeckeln anderer Produkte verschwinden. Man kann eben alles übertreiben.

Wir haben uns den Kopfhörer zugelegt, weil wir eine Spracherkennungssoftware nutzen. Da es bei Kopfhörern mit "normalen" Audio- und Mikroeingang zu Fehlerkennungen kommen kann, haben wir uns diesen USB-Kopfhörer zugelegt. Und das war auch gut so!!! Das Diktieren klappt super und die Spracherkennung läuft einwandfrei. Auch die Kopfhörer können unproblematisch an verschiedene Kopfformen angepasst werden. Fazit: alles super!!!
