my original dyson charger and battery for the V7 animal+ model stopped working reliably, the charger head was loose or got worn down or something over the years and wouldn't charge unless it was in a very specific angle, the battery even when charged full couldn't handle the Max power mode and would die if i use it more than like 3 sec. Called dyson, weren't much help other than to tell me to buy new parts. Tried this battery and it works amazing so far, now to see if it will last the test of time. I also bought the black charger from this seller that's compatible w/ the battery and it's working solid so far, hoping it will last as well. Update 1/25/26: Battery was bought in 11/2023, light is no longer lighting up, not charging. For the price, I say i got my moneys worth, lived for 2 years at $30 price. I had to buy the charge as well though for around $10

I grew up with the classic Dustbuster, so imagine my surprise about two years ago when I first found the Dyson v7. I was in OCD heaven. A portable, powerful, battery-operated vacuum that really sucks? Sign me up! My original Dyson v7 battery still holds a nice charge, but I use the vacuum so often that I know it's only a matter of time until the battery goes kaput. So I ordered this replacement battery pack. You should not think of this pack as a spare to use on a regular basis. The reason is that installation requires removal and then replacement of three screws. It's not a latched shove-in and pull-out type battery like you might see on a Black & Decker cordless drill. But installation is still pretty easy. See the video I posted here. When I filmed this video, I'd already removed the original Dyson battery. So if you're confused as to how to remove one battery and put in the other, just watch the video in reverse. Ha! But seriously, this is a great battery, and it's an excellent replacement for the Dyson. Even the silver/grey plastic matches the rest of the vacuum. I'm very happy with this replacement.

My original review (Early August): It worked great for a couple months and then nothing. Tested everything. The battery registered 0.06V and would not charge. This was a highly rated battery from many reviewers. Maybe I just got the bad pack? Will never know, moving on and trying a different brand... Updated (8/21/22): I think I just got unlucky (it happens to all products/manufacturers), but fantastic customer service and a warranty I didn't know existed changed my rating. I didn't realize that this battery comes with a 12 month warranty. I guess Kunlun monitors the Amazon reviews because they reached out to me about the problem I was having and offered to replace it. Less than a week later I had a replacement battery on the charger. They were super responsive and very easy to work with. The new battery is working great and I really appreciate the Kunlun support. Will update again if there are any future issues, but very satisfied with the outcome/resolution.

It's been an OK battery for 3 years of regular use so one can't really complain. Now, the vac shuts off unexpectedly (yellow light on the battery). It will restart but the battery is clearly showing some issues. KUNLUN no longer offers batteries for Dyson products anyway. Update: a few weeks later it's clear that the intermittent stoppages are the norm - the battery pack has failed. 3-years is way too short for LiON batteries. I've many that are 10 years old and still charge/hold charge just fine. These are rubbish. I'd not trust anything from KUNLUN - plainly they use second-rate cells.

When we received the product out of the box it worked fine initially but after 5 months of use, it just stopped working but due to the time frame can't send it back now. We now get an amber light when we tried to charge the battery. After doing some research on what an amber light means on a Dyson v7... all that was available was to reset the unit by pressing the trigger for 3 seconds 5 times or recharge for 3.5 hours(Apparently its too hot to charge???). Did both but to no avail, still no longer working. I realize a rechargeable battery won't last forever but I would expect at least a year or more before it stops working. Trying a different manufacturer to see if I get better results on the longevity of the battery. Update April 2023 - Customer Service reached out to provide a replacement. So for folks looking to contact the vendor you simply do so via the Amazon communication process that is in place for Kunlun. It wasn't 100% clear initially how to obtain support but I do have to admit it is pretty good therefore I upgraded my rating to 4 stars and here is why. The Battery works, but I did have to go thru some hassle of contacting and getting a replacement, while great support from the vendor does exists... still shows the quality control of the product may not be 100%. You may get lucky with a good batch and have no issues but some portions of this product may end up with defects like me and apparently some others from what I've read. Update May 1st 2023 I just received the replacement so overall a working product from a reliable vendor but some of the new orders may have defects and you just need to be aware to contact the vendor for support or a replacement and because your not left out on an island with no where to go that does mean a lot to me therefore I would put this product on the buy again list for me but more due to the support they provided.

Well, our lovely Dyson Pet Vacuum ran out of juice. We have had it for several years, and everyone likes to use it, in part because it is light, and there is no cord or canister to deal with. When it stopped working the question was, "What the heck is wrong with the Dyson Vac?" Of course, we realized that the battery was bad, and that it required replacement. Well, the install required about 10 minutes or less, and the Vac runs just fine. It is back to its old self, and we have a revitalized attack on the excess shedding of our Corgie. I cannot tell you how long this battery will last. The last one lasted more than 4 years. If we get the same service out of the new battery it will be great. Delivery was NEXT DAY!!! Can't complain about that.

I was skeptical, but am pleased. I have been using the battery for about two months, and my wife and I use it often...multiple times throughout the week, sometimes for an hour at a time. We use this battery to power our Dyson v7. After about two years the one that came with it failed, so if this thing lasts that long, ill buy another. I cannot say if its as powerful, but we simply switch the unit on Max and it works very well on our tile floors. We have to switch it to normal/off MAX for the few rungs we have. It still does the same job as if it were brand new...just hope it lasts more than a year. The only odd thing, is now the waste bucket can stay open while in operation. This did not occur with the other battery, so I imagine there is a slight difference with the physical design...not that it matters to me one bit. I cannot rater the battery life, nor longevity, as two months of data is not sufficient.

I have a Dyson v7 animal extra cordless vacuum. I was very disappointed with the quality of the battery; it lasted less and less time. When it completely died and wouldn't accept a charge I thought I was going to have to buy a whole new unit. I did buy a corded Shark because I find it very annoying not to be able to finish vacuuming my whole house when I'm cleaning. There are times, however, when a cordless vacuum is the best option and I missed the dyson. I read a lot of reviews and decided to give this a try. It was very easy to replace the battery pack and in reading the reviews I learned some things about recharging battery packs that I hope will make this one last longer. (Letting the battery cool down before recharging the battery.) I'm happy with my purchase.
