Installation not a big job, fit and function excellent
Fit 2000 Chevy Astro perfectly, worked immediately. Installation isn't very hard if you have some technical experience working on car, and can remove and install the serpentine belt.

This replaced an old reman that was on my 2000 Blazer when I bought it, but started malfunctioning intermittently. After installing this, first and second start displayed some odd amp readings on the dash gauge, but after that its been steady, the Blazer's lights no longer flicker, and the amps don't drop out on downshift. Its performing perfectly. The old reman had only two mounting bolts on the main mount, and the new unit's rear bolt hole didn't line up with the bracket, so I just left it out since it seems unnecessary.

3rd rear bolt hole is not the same as oem
The 3rd rear bolt HOLE is not the same as oem, meaning you have to get a new bolt to fit in. I had to run around to find a fitting bolt. SPENT 2 HOURS TO FIND ONE. It could've been a 30 min job.... When you get this alternator, first see if your old 3rd rear bolt fits the bolt hole..... If not, run around to find one.... What a waste of time and aggravation! Addendum: What do you know! The charging voltage reduces to ~ 13V when my SUV gets warmed up. I thought my voltmeter broke but it is working fine.

Excellent replacement alternator
A perfect replacement alternator for my original one. I paid around 60 bucks for the returned/used one, It and the box both look perfect to me, and it's so much quieter too. Another fantastic catch on Amazon.

Box games crushed but alternator looks ok
Just writing this review just to show proof that the box it was shipped with was ok but inner box came out like this . If I have any issues I have proof of return or defective

The back third bolt did not line up and seemed drilled and tapped almost 1/8inch off.
