Genre: Feature Film-Comedy Rating: R Release Date: 6-FEB-2001 Media Type: DVD Review: Still VERY funny - I remember my parent's taking my brother, sister, and I as kids to see this movie. (A LONG time ago) I found it hilarious as a child, and watched it several times as an adolescent on cable. I ordered it because I remember Dom DeLuise being SO GREAT as Sonny's best INSANE friend trying to help him kill himself. Throughout the years my family has kept phrases from this movie alive. Such as "Your right Sonny, it's not high enough!" Or we mimic Burt at the end of the movie bargaining with God. The closer he gets to shore the more he rescinds or minimizes his promises to Him. Without Dom, this movie would have been mediocre to BAD. But with him in it, I would still give it 5 stars. When he is introducing himself to Sonny (who thinks he's a doctor) and stands up propping his leg in the chair and while flashing Sonny with a great view of his 'privates' he proudly announces he is a patient,is a classic moment. Great movie!!! Review: The Funny Side Of Death - I have been a long time fan of Burt Reynolds, I have most of his works in my movie library. This movie had me laughing during the entire movie. Death isn't met to be funny, but he pulls no punches in the script. Robbie Benson did a 1st class job as the juvenile priest, Dom Delusise was classic as the lawyer, and patient. Overall this movie even though death is sad it is also a way to stay positive even in the worst situation. This movie is a must for any fan of Burt Reynolds.

A classic fro mthe old days
Burt, Dom, and Sally are an awesome team from the '70s and '80s. This was one of my favorite movies from those days. I had forgotten some of the all star cast that was in this, definitely takes me back.

Silly but Funny!
Great actors from the past with a slapstick base. No foul language nor hype in this old movie. Has some really silly funny senes and I enjoyed it.

Horribly dated, and unfunny.
Except for a few short bits with Sally Field and Kristy McNichol, this was painful to watch. None of the jokes landed. Crude, and annoying. I fast forwarded through most of it because it was just an untalented guy whining.

Burt always makes me laugh.
This is one of Burt's funniest movies. He gets told that he has this disease and that he is going to die. He goes to his ex-wife (Joan Woodward) and tells her. She is a riot in this. Dom is always trying to help Burt by trying to kill him, because Burt decides to take the easy way out so he has Dom to help him. Well he doesn't died and decides that he doesn't want to and Dom keeps on trying.

Silly rather than funny. Dealer service was good.
This film was less than I expected. Too bad, I thought it to be funny rather than silly.
