Good alternative to OEM
Tailgate came packaged well with molded foam around the corners in a thick cardboard box. Everything was perfectly straight when I pulled it out of the box. Steel is similar gauge to OEM. Whatever primer or E-coat they put on this is very thin. I sanded it down and hit it with a nice epoxy primer sealer first.The one I got was stamped made in Taiwan.

I bought a tailgate for my Dodge Ram....When I received it, it was damaged.... I communicate with MBI Auto and they immediately offered me 3 solutions to resolve the problem....We decided to return (no shipping costs) the tailgate and we received refund some days later.....They gave us an excellent service....

Install a Problem
Be sure to inspect for shipping damage once you receive the tailgate. Item is poorly packaged. Mine had a one bottom corner bent inward and several dents across the face of the tailgate that were not visible until the shrink wrap was removed. Fortunately for me the body shop that painted mine did the repairs at no cost. I had to remove the hinge assembly and rod from the old tailgate and put in to the new one because the new one was too small to mount on the trucks hinge pins. After much ado the tailgate was installed successfully and looks pretty good. Don't forget to order new impact trim for the top of the TG also new Emblems to mount on it.

Decent Tailgate.
Sprayed this with 2k rattle cans from Napa in the OEM color to match my 09 ram. the fit was very good, overall almost perfect looking tailgate. You will need a rubber bushing set to complete the installation, I also noticed two very slight bumpy spots in the lower left and right corner that if it were to bother me I could have used filler to make 100% but it's hardly noticeable on a white truck.

first one came damaged beyond use. called them right away. they sent a call tag .took about a week and second one came in great shape . They answered the phone and were very polite.They took care of the problem . Would deal with them again good people
