Rola-Chem 6250 Paradise Power Spa Vacuum

I don't normally write reviews of things I buy on Amazon because I normally know I am going to like them or have used them in the past from a retail store. This time I had to take time to write a note. I purchased a hot tub, zero experience maintaining one but have been learning as I go. Over time, some rubber mulch particles and little pebbles or sand that don't make it through bio degrade or chemicals or spa filter settled in the bottom. I researched and decided to purchase a pool vac, didn't want one that required plugging in because of water or charging and decided to try this one thinking it would probably be a joke. When I got it I was like "what? yes, sure,,,,,hold your thumb over a small hole at the end of a broom like handle and it will pick up pennies and rocks etc. and that's it?". My first thought was I will give it a try and save the box because this one will surely be going back. WELL. let me tell you, I am in amazement. Best darn thing I ever bought in terms of a home maintenance tool for outside. Lightweight, works like magic, easy to use, and while it requires multiple times, it's so darn simple, just hold your thumb on hole, suck it up, let the water back out and dip again. The spa was spotless in under 10 minutes, the entire bottom of it and clean up is a breeze. To add to that, no assembly, no crazy instructions, also has visuals and I am super happy I bought this. Amazing product and no complicated stuff. Genius! Who knew, a siphon system that works like a charm.

Lasted 6 years for me. Calling that a win and buying another. Be nice if you could just replace the plastic cylinder though. Store out of sunlight. Clever design.

Very simple to use and effective. Please note that the amount of suction is directly related the the depth of the water. It all works on water pressure. For the very bottom of my hot tub, I get full suction, and it works perfectly. For the lounger seat, only a foot or so below the waterline, it's limited. I try to hold it as much of an angle as possible to maximize suction, but just know that you may not get everything on the first attempt. I was a little alarmed when the box arrived opened, but everything was there and in good shape. The suction end of this thing is not the the most robust build, so can't speak to long term durability at this point. I've seen complaints that the flapper hinge can stick. Not for me, but I'll be keeping an eye on that. The flared suction end attachement comes of fairly easily. It once came off while using. Not a big deal in a small hot tub. I would not use this in a swiming pool. Kind of an ingenous design. Just wish it felt a little higher quality.

Works as advertised. Functional and durable. My first purchase in 2019, the clear plastic container broke, so it's time to replace. I did not expect it to last 5 years.Store it in a shady place and away from the elements. Clean/rinse after every use.Excellent product 👌

Tried once and immediately returned. This “vacuum” absolutely does not work as described. I purchased it to get sand and dirt out of my spa. It had little to no effect on the sand. Even worse you are CONSTANTLY pulling it up and down since the way it creates pressure is filling the small container with water. This product is a total joke. Even worse it is listed as not returnable unless in new condition. I don’t even know if my refund is going to go thru.

The product is very easy to assemble and use. It doesn't require electricity, batteries, or a hose. The water stays in the pool (you don't have to dump/pump it out with the debris). These are important conveniences when using it in a smaller pool, such as a spa. It would be very burdensome to use this device to clean a medium to large pool (e.g., swimming pool).It does a great job of picking up large debris, such as leaves, pine needles, pebbles, etc. However, it does NOT pick up sand or other finer debris commonly deposited on the bottom of a spa. Therefore, it is rather useless for cleaning a spa. Although the mesh filter is very fine, it is doughnut-shaped and does not adequately seal around the edge of the filter, so all of the fine debris goes around the sides of the filter and back into the spa.An easy workaround is to stuff paper-towels into the filter chamber (socks might work too). It drains a little slower, but at least it filters out finer debris. At this price, I would have expected a better design that does not require me to engineer a workaround.

I use this vacuum on our Coleman Saluspa. It is easy to use and picks up small pebbles and debris from the bottom of the spa as you see in the picture. I popped the screen and filter out and rinsed them with the garden hose then gently reinserted—easy peasy. Would definitely recommend for small jobs/areas like this.

It does the job for a hot tub. When pulling the vacuum out, you should confirm the valve is closed or the debris may go back into the tub. Maybe drain the vacuum water outside the tub to make sure nothing goes back i the tub. The only problem is that there is a sticker on the vacuum part which comes off because it gets wet. I recommend removing the sticker, through soaking in a separate bucket, before use.

I was skeptical but bought it anyways. It works so good! I had to clean sand out of my hot tub after the kids brought sandbox toys in. It took a few times cleaning to get it all out. I was thinking the sand would run back out when I took it out of the water but it didn’t. I was pleasantly surprised!

Apto para piscinas hinchables de hasta 3x2 metros. Su mecanismo es muy sencillo aunque requiere practica para cogerle el truco. Cuanta mas agua en la piscina mayor potencia de succion. Está pensado para absorber tierra, pelusas, trozitos pequeños de basura o mugre que acaba siempre en los fondos aunque se le resisten cosas mas grandes.Lo mejor es la sencillez del producto.Lo peor es la de veces que es necesario limpiar el filtro si tu piscina suele acumular suciedad con facilidad o sueles dedicarle 1h todos los dias a la limpieza. Esto te llevará a tener que limpiar el filtro en varias ocasiones, pues se acumula la suciedad rapidamente y deja de absorber completamente. Deberia venir con mas filtros de recambio por el precio.

Only sucks for a few seconds but it works great to remove sediment from the bottom of the tub or seats without having to use a siphon.
