Don't use with Hoppe's #9 bore solvent.
The center of the cap area is made of brass, or something approximating brass, and will degrade rapidly if you use this for wetting rifle cleaning patches with Hoppe's Bore Solvent.

Stopped Working After a Couple Months
I purchased two of these bottles to use with white vinegar. They both stopped working soon (about 8 weeks) after purchase. I love the glass bottle and look of the dispenser. Unfortunately, they stopped pumping and are of no use.

Great quality
I love that this product uses glass and metal, unlike other pumps. It's definitely sturdy and works well.

Nice, but liquids evaporate due to no seal
It is just what I wanted functionality and aesthetic wise.It is somewhat useless though, as there is no seal at the closure, and the alcohol/nail polish remover/acetone evaporates fairly quickly.

Exactly what I was needing
This is my 2nd purchase of this product. I keep my coconut oil for eye makeup remover in one and rubbing alcohol in another.

2 simple fixes
At first I didn't have much luck with this dispenser. I was using it with alcohol and it would evaporate and the pump would eventually just stop pumping. However, after taking it apart I found two simple fixes. First, to reduce the the evaporation use some Teflon pipe tape around the glass threads before putting the metal cap on. I also fashioned a rubber gasket for the inside, but that's because I was using alcohol. The gasket may not hold up with other chemicals. To fix the pump you have to understand how it actually works. There is a small metal ball bearing inside that moves up and down when you pump the cap. It moves up to let the the liquid rise up and falls down to block the liquid from falling. If its working correctly the liquid should come out with only a few pumps. Even after letting it sit for a while. The pump is nothing more than a ball bearing and a spring. Btw it doesn't rely on the cap being 100% sealed to the bottle to work. However, if the ball bearing gets out of place, the liquid will never rise enough. You can see this if you look closely at the tube inside when you pump the cap. If the ball is not right, the liquid will start to come up when you pump but then fall back down again. This also leads to alot of evaporation. Try removing the cap and shaking the ball around, while holding it vertically, until it settles back in the correct place. The issue is that the ball will sometimes get hung up in the spring. The most likely culprit is when you go to fill the container. You take the metal part off and typically just lay it down. Thats where the problem comes in. Since its laying down flat the ball can shift and get hung up in the spring. The key is, once you have a working pump, always leave the metal pump in the vertical position. Never lay it down. If you have to open up the pump mechanism just pay close attention to the metal clip inside. Once you remove it, you can take apart everything. But it only goes back in one way.

Right size
I wanted this for a small shelf I have in my bathroom. It fits great. I am using it for my liquid facial cleanser.

Quit working
Had been using this for several months now and suddenly it quit working. Will not pump. I’m thinking the spring inside went bad for some reason but I don’t know how to fix. Such a shame as I really like the glass pumps but if they don’t last long then not worth buying.
