Women's Gel-Cumulus 22 Running Shoe

I never buy shoes online without trying them somewhere first, because I am hard to fit and picky! But I needed these (old shoes were discontinued and unavailable) and the current situation prevented me from going to a store. I read many reviews to try to figure out the right brand, model, and size, including pro reviewers as well as regular customers. This design is very good for neutral or slightly supinating (under-pronating) runners, offering good cushioning and just enough support to discourage an off-balance stance. My feet are wide in front, narrow in back. I also like plenty of vertical room in the toebox. The fabric seems sturdy but flexible and stretchy. This shoe provides both width and decent height in front, with a light internal reinforcement that lifts the fabric at the toe. Gel and cushion seem ample in back and adequate in front, not a supersoft ride but not at all jarring. Flexible soles with enough grip to handle different paved and unpaved surfaces made my first excursion very good. I mix walking and running, and it seemed to work for me at both paces. Regarding fit: I wear women's US 8.5M in most sports shoes, 8 in dress shoes. The 8.5M is absolutely the right size for me, with room for socks. I would say it is a true fit, but because of the generous toe area and the flexible fabric, it feels more spacious than narrower-cut shoes of the same size. Because of my thin ankles and narrow heel, I use the last lacing hole to snug it up. I am delighted they are working out so well for me.

I have worn cumulus for quite some time. I have noticed over the years, they have become more and more narrow. This is a great shoe. However, at this point, I have to order wide sizes. I wear a 10.5 and have a very high arch and instep as well as under pronation (supination). These shoes have always came through for me. When I received these, I could not tighten the laces enough to cover the space between the tongue and lace holes without cutting off my circulation. Ordering wide sizes is fine, except there are only one or two color options. I am disappointed in Asics for skimping out on regular width (now considered narrow). I am reordering a different pair of Asics. Hoping for the best.

The description states these shoes run true to size however this is far from the truth. The shoes run small. I normally wear a narrow shoe and these were too narrowI so I had to return these shoes. I was not happy to find I was being charged nearly 6 bucks to return them via UPS and had to drop them off at a drop off station as well. Your prob thinking okay big deal. The big deal is I have never paid to return any item ever as a prime member. I have returned several things including clothing and shoes which were to small and not once had an issue. If I am being charged I shouldn’t have to drive to a drop off station UPS should be picking them up at my home.So moral of this tale is you best make sure that the size you order is correct because if you return the shoes you won’t have the option to return for a bigger/smaller size and you will be charged to return them. This is a first time purchase from ASICS and my last. I will be buying from shoe lines I trust and I know how the shoe lines run in regards to sizing. I am so disappointed as I suffer from foot, ankle, knee, and back pain and was excited to have a lighter weight shoe for the summer that provided support and help elevate some of my discomfort when walking.

I’ll first say I have large feet (but not wide) and it’s always a challenge to find comfortable well fitted shoes.First thing I’ve noticed about them is they are really good looking shoes. The black with hot pink looks beautiful together. The fit is nice and snug and was true to size.I’ve worn them for my workouts (weights and cardio) and they are AWESOME! My feet don’t hurt during my workouts and the cushion in them are a life saver.

great for my high arches and I feel like running on a cloud.... i hope they don't discontinue this shoe

I love how light yet sturdy these are. I underpronate and these have made a big difference in my walking and jogging routine and how my calves and shins feel after an outing

I walk 5-6 miles per day and mostly wear Asics. I have never purchased or worn a wide width sneaker. However, some of the reviewers seemed to think the regular shoe was narrow so I decided to order a wide. I was worried it would be too big but found it to be extremely comfortable and a great fit. I have one spot on the outside of my right foot that sometimes rubs in shoes that are a little tight which is why I went for the wide. These shoes are very cool looking and very comfortable. I only wore them once but had no issues and don't expect any. Since I didn't try the regular width shoe I cannot speak to the possible issue of it being a little narrow. If that would bother you then don't be afraid to try the wide ones as they really fit the same as all my other shoes.

I ordered these shoes on Fri. Oct. 16, 2020. Amazon says that I will get them by the 20th. Good I thought, I was out of town when I ordered but I would be home by the 18th. Monday night on Oct. 19th, the night before they are to arrive I check the tracking information to see where they are. Wow! Keep in Mind I live a little North of the Dallas/Fort Worth area: My shoes left Ohio late Sunday, by early Monday they were in Houston TX, then went on to Humble, TX, then BACK to Ohio. Come Tuesday Oct. 20th,(delivery day) I get an email saying they will be delayed and to expect them Oct. 21-22, 2020. These are Wide Asics, you know the ones that are never in the stores. Stores only carry ugly wide shoes if you are lucky to find that. They promise I can get a refund or replacement, so, we shall see. 1 star rating until I actually get the shoes.Update on Oct 21st, 2020: My Wide Asics arrived and they fit! What a difference a little extra room in the toe box makes! I went out on my 3 mile walk wearing them and my toes did not hurt when I got back from my walk. So glad I took a chance on them. They look real nice too. They are a Neutral support shoe so I added a little orthotic insert and I went out for my walk. If you need to add a custom pair of orthotics, they will fit in these shoes. I only wish they had more choices in Wide. Now I will give it a 5 star rating.*

I have Achilles and circulation problems so I need very flexible trainers with a bit of a heel. I also have wide feet so I need a wide toe box. These shoes tick all those boxes. They are really comfortable

I had the Asics Gel Cumulus before in 18 and 20 and so, although at first, I found this fit on the small size for a 9.5, these soon proved their worth. Before this pair I had some Asics Gel Nimbus 22 and actually prefer these Cumulus, at pretty much half the price. For road shoes, and in my case for very light trails, I won't be changing from Asics Gel Cumulus again anytime soon. Great value and a damn fine shoe.

I ordered one size bigger(size5) than my Nike one(size4). I am glad that I did so. It fits perfectly and unbelievably comfy.Highly recommended.

What a disappointment! I've worn the same size in Asics sneakers for the past 10-years, so I was incredulous when this pair were uncomfortably small. Add onto this, the shoes feel "cheap" - I can see glue between the base and the fabric. Either this is a knock-off, or Asics has really let it's quality and consistency go. This is a complete rip-off for the price paid. Save yourself some money and either buy direct from Asics, or change to another shoe brand.

Bought half a size larger which usually sufficed for me in asics. But these were tiny, it didn’t help that. I was sent a narrow fit not knowing that would be the case
