Nokia AD-46 Audio Adaptor

I got the adaptor to play music in my car from my mobile phone and it works absolotely fine for this purpose.What I did notice was that there is always a loss in quality any time I change tracks from my phone. I have to increase/decrease the volume on the adaptor to bring the output back to normal quality. It's quite annoying, and I wonder what could be the cause of this.

"Nokia AD-49 3.5mm POP Port Stereo Adapter WITH MICROPHONE" is not a STEREO adapter and it seems not a Genuine Nokia device. Very very bad purchase...I don't returned it to Amazon because shipping cost.Sorry, for me this is the first and last Amazon purchase.Best regards.

Despite the annoyance of it falling off you belt or coat quite a lot when when worn and skipping traks when you lean on the button, when used with a good quality pair of headphones this adaptor makes the nokia (in my case the 6234) music output up to real hi-fi quality. after this you won't want to go back to the inferior Nokia earbud type earphones.

(used with a nokia 6230)I'd bought a cheaper alternative to this for about three quid, but it broke within a day, so I'd recommend spending the extra and getting one of these, which allows you to listen to your radio/mp3s on decent quality headphones. It's also got a microphone in it so you can use it with headphones as a handsfree, plus a button on it which in phone mode goes to voicedial, in mp3 mode can be set up to skip tracks or change volume, and in radio goes through presets etc. Pretty nifty.The downside is that is does kind of dangle off the end of your phone, something that just clipped onto the end with no additional wires would have been ideal, but that aside I use this thing all the time and it's still going strong.

I use my adaptor for hands free car use. The AD 46 is Brilliant, exactly what i wanted! I have bought a 'patch lead' which is a jack plug male to male, 2.5 mm one end (plugs in to the 'aux in' socket in my car) and 3.5mm the other end (plugs in to the AD 46) SEE MY PICTURE OF THIS SET UP!This gives you near perfect car hands free use, all you do is turn the stereo to AUX when the phone rings, and the volume may be adjusted on the radio - all the sound goes through the car speakers.On my car, all the radio controls are on the steering wheel - IDEAL!!Go and buy one, save a nasty accident. It is a brilliant product for the car use and headphone use.
