BLACK+DECKER BXFP51004GB 16 Inch Pedestal Fan, 3 Speed Settings, 80 degree Oscillation, 2 Hour Timer, Black

One single issue with this otherwise pleasing fan is that the blade locking nut (plastic) is EXTREMELY difficult to remove from motor housing in order to fit guards and blades. . Threads within plastic nut are not defined, so does not screw off/on evenly. When refitted to hold blades, the nut does not sit correctly on metal spindle. (identical first fan purchased last year had similar but not such worn threads). Hoping new fan blades will continue to work ok with poor fixing.Will be writing to Black & Decker direct regarding this design fault and may be a replacement part?!NB Price of fan has escalated in 12 months by £15 (was £29.99 now £45.99 so disappointing to have small faulty part).

It was a good electric fan but not that strong, as there are 3 blades only. Its better I think to add a little bit more then you'll get a stronger fan especially now that summer is upon us!

Great fan, easy to assemble. Very quiet for sleeping. Powerful 3 speed setting even on top speed still quiet to sleep whilst on.

Got 2 of these for the elderly parents to use during the recent heatwave we had,quick delivery and was very easy to set up for them and it wasn't until i visited them last week that they told me they was pretty much useless so they purchased a cheap one from asda and it does the job way better than these! Bitterly disappointed in this purchase

These are simply the best fans for blowing air around the house I've ever bought. Of particular merit is the circular base design which makes them very stable and much less of a trip hazard than many other designs. They also run very quietly on the first speed (which nevertheless is still powerful), and on this low setting after 36 hours non-stop use the motors are still cool. You can use the timer too if you wish, personally I don't bother. Finally, as fans go, in their glossy black finish these even manage to look quite smart. I purchased three of them.

I needed a fan and this is all Amazon had for next day that wasn't overpriced.The fan works great, but I tried to use the timer, I turned it back down to zero and nothing happened, however it's been ticking for god knows how long and won't stop, but it's still at zero. Horrifically annoying. Will be a return if it doesn't stop.Easy enough to put together once you understand that it's already half assembled, you do need to unassemble it first as the instructions are VERY unclear.

We are using the fan in our lounge to keep us cooler in the hot weather. It was easy to assemble and we were using it within half an hour of it being delivered. It seems much sturdier than a previous fan we had.
