Eve of Extinction

Starts on a strong note, but the writing changes tone about a third of the way through and becomes lazy and sometimes incomprehensible. Several times I looked back at previous frames based on the current frame’s dialogue to see what I’d missed as there seemed to be missing discussion; I hadn’t missed anything. There are several very weird technical errors in the book as well.The story isn’t bad and it’s entertaining enough. But it couldn’t been 1.5-2x the length easily and felt like a much more complete experience. Both characters and story needed more fleshing out.The art is fantastic and very cool to look at. Stylistically it’s both creepy and slick. Very effective presentation for the most part.Overall a decent read but I wish I hadn’t paid so much for it.
