Lost. Found.: A Picture Book

Marsha's latest book is superb! With few words & supportive artwork by Cordell, it carries the reader right along through the snow. I can imagine a crowd of children anxiously awaiting what will happen next, just as I did with my first read! Such creative ideas the animals have...should give readers lots of ideas for follow-through. Suspense is built as the scarf continues on its way, on its way...then when all animals convene & the result is disastrous, they combine forces for a peaceful outcome. Ah, perhaps this is a book for the adults of our world!!!

I'm a little disappointed in this book.. The explanation of the book inside the front cover tells a cute story. I expected a different adventure with each animal that found the scarf.. But there isn't anything to it but the pictures. But then the pictures are small and scribbly, not sure they would attract a little one's attention. I wish I had taken more time to view the first pages. I would have caught on to what's inside.

From one of my favorite children's authors, I would not have expected anything less than another great book. Marsha has a way of making the reader truly believe that all is right in the world. After reading it to a group of children at the library, one little girl yells at the very end, "They're making a new one!" -Julie Pacino

I didn't think the book had a plot that a 3-year-old would enjoy. In fact, I didn't think there was a plot. I wasn't sure I was correct, and gave it to my wife without comment. She agreed 100%. Also, I didn't think the pictures were worthy of the book. The reviews I read were misleading.

At first, I said, "Oh no, no words." but after looking at each page, I loved it and look forwardto reading it to my 3 year old grandson and letting him help tell the story. I stuck a piece of redyarn in the end of the book !

Horrible! Literally, on every page, it says 1 word. "Lost." Then the next page it says "Found."What kind of book is that? Such a waste of money. My daughter loves books but this I'm not going to even bother showing her, cause there's nothing to actually read to her. It's 1 word per page!
