Will this control a rca rt2781be?

This remote does not support audio devices like home theater receivers.

I have an older vcr dvd combo... will this be able to switch back and forth between vcr and dvd and control them? I haven’t seen this answered.

I specifically bought this remote because the buttons on the picture (not the same buttons on my remote, by the way) make it look like you can do that, but you can't. At least, not with my Insignia DVD/VCR combo player. I can't even use the right and left arrows on it for my machine. I can use all the other normal buttons, but I'd really like to be able to choose more than just what's up and down....
