I don't have cankles by any means. My ankles aren't super thing but they aren't fat either. I couldn't even get the strap around my ankles and attached into the first hole, that's how short the straps are. Otherwise the sandals fit nicely. Now I'm stuck without shoes for a trip I leave for tomorrow and get to return these before I leave.3 stars because they looked nice, -2 because they're unwearable as designed.

Bought these in December 2019. Wore them just fine for years. April 2023 I took them out of the closet to wear for the first nice day of the season. Noticed some sticky residue on the soles and a slight crack on the left sole so I washed them with dish soap and water and set them aside for 2 hours to air dry. Walked less than an hour on paved ground and grass at a festival and they literally fell apart. Very disappointing as I liked these sandals.

Update: I have just placed an order for my 4th pair of these sandals. After my initial order of the black pair in 2019, I ordered a brown pair as well. I don't wear brown as much, so they are still holding up well. The black ones cracked on the bottom after a year of wearing them almost constantly. I ordered another black pair which has lasted a year and 2 months. They are now coming apart at the sole. Even though they seem to break after about a year, I can't stop liking them because they are so comfortable, pretty, and affordable. I live in the southern USA where we don't have much winter, so I wear these all the time. The price is steadily increasing ($12.99 for the first two pairs, $13.99 the next year, and $15.99 now), but as long as they stay this affordable, I'd rather buy a new pair every year than buy a more expensive shoe that I might not like as much. But of course I wouldn't complain if they lasted a little longer... :-)Original review in 2019: I can't believe how much I love these sandals. I wear a kid's size 3 or adult 5, so I ordered a 5, and they fit perfectly. Most shoes seem to need a "break in" period where you might have some rubbing or just needing to get used to them...not these! Today is my 3rd day to wear them, and they have felt comfortable from the moment I put them on. Comfortable, pretty, and a great price...I'll be ordering more colors!

Decent enough sandals but has a weird bulge from the back strap area. Not worth returning. Will wear them occasionally.

Bought these to end the night for my cousins wedding. They are cute and comfortable for the most part. But, due to the heat the my feet sweating and blowing up, my toes were sliding in the front a bit. Also does not help I have long toes (ewww) lol. If I had went a half size larger, they would be too big. For reference, I wear an 8 1/2 and that is what I ordered.

it feels secure, my foot is not big and thought it would be loose, but strap is tight enough at the toes and the diagonal one is good - the elastic is great for when bending your foot. may poke another hole around the ankle for better fit. the sole is nice and comfortable.

i always wear shoes and boots made without leather. these vegan sandals are a good fit, very open and cool for summer. the design is interesting and well thought out. and a good TAN color. they are obviously not fine leather and that's ok with me.
