I agree with another reviewer who saids this is pretty much information you can google. It's nice to have it all in one place. But it's not in-depth. If you're looking to learn the actual process of growing, harvesting, etc of lavender, then look elsewhere. The first half introduces you to lavender, the types, and some of the business of lavender. The second half is all generic business information that applies to any business. Again, it's a good collection of basic facts and practices. But it is not going to tell you anywhere near all you need to know. Like the last reviewer, I read the whole thing in 2 hours in one sitting.

Good book for beginners

I think this book has some useful information, but most of it is available on the internet. Which is most likely where the author found it. I appreciate that it takes a lot of time and effort to write a book, but this book would have been better if it was written by someone with real experience. The book also needs professional editing. It is full of typos and repetitive sections. Probably not really worth the $16 I spent to buy it.I was able to read it in about two hours. So if you don’t like researching and reading online articles, then this book may be a good resource for you. But ultimately I believe farming books should be written by farmers, and I highly recommend “Farms with a Future” by Rebecca Thistlethwaite

I’m surprised at the value of this book for the novice lavender farmer, it’s very comprehensive and even encouraging! You’ll be glad you bought it!

For just starting out in the lavender business, this ticks all the boxes. Simple and concise.

I was rather disappointed in the book, I thought it would be more along the line of a commercial text book. wanted more details.
