Such a beautiful instrument.
Now to say this is a top notch theremin would be kind of overdoing it a little. However, for a person who is wanting something that doesn't cost a ton but still works well for learning how to use a theremin, this is a great purchase! It doesn't take up a lot of space, the sound is nice, and the way the instrument is made is really cool. Just be sure that you have an amp for it - I run it through my bass amp, and it works just fine. Also, make sure there's some open space where it's not near all of your electronics; you'll get the best sound that way.

KRAZY COOL
Oh my gosh. This thing is crazy cool. It was a lot better than I thought it would be. I play electric drums and I have a 50 W amp that I play them through. If you can only imagine what this thing sounds like with a 50 W amp. It’s a lot of fun. The grandkids are going to enjoy this probably as much as I am. Thank you for the quick shipping. I got it sooner than I expected it to come by at least two days.

Excellent gift
My son chose his orchestra teacher as his favorite teacher of a senior year, so I wanted to thank him for having such an excellent impression on his life. I’m part of the music boosters and I overheard him talking about desiring a Theremin for the Halloween concert and decided that was the perfect gift! He used it at the concert, obviously, and is incorporating it into his classroom teachings as well. He is thrilled with this gift and I hope he has many years of fun with it.

Cool instrument, great customer support.
I bought this for a family member, neither of us having any experience with a theremin before. We knew that we loved the sound. I needed a little help getting proper sound ( a working guitar amp and cable). Kathy from customer service was so responsive to my questions and basically walked us through the set up. If you’re a beginner, know that you’ll get the support you need. Then enjoy playing.

Sounds a lot worse than other theramins
Got this for a birthday present. Despite hours of YouTube and attempts at fixing, it sounds incredibly static heavy. Tried removing electronics, tried seating on a mic stand, tried many amp settings. It just doesn't sound anything like the Moogs online. Overall a pretty painful experience (hours of static with minimal tone = no fun).

Awesome instrument
This is my first professional grade Theremin after using hand built, palm and Tesla Theremins. The Burns Theremin is impressive. I look forward to learning to play this instrument.

No threads for mic stand.
There is a hole to mount it on a mic stand, but no threads, so it bobbles around unevenly. I had to order an after market mic stand adapter. I'm not sure, but I don't think the description indicates that. Maybe it was a manufacturing flaw, but it's lame either way. I also do not recommend this product for the price. Sure it's fun to mess around with but I would spend more and buy from a more reputable company. The box part of the device picks up too much interference from your body, making it difficult to establish tomes with your hands.
