If you’re looking to be taken along on a journey of ghostly encounters and cryptid tales, Sinister Swamps delivers. I was grateful that Lyle could once again transport me from this current reality to a world of possible realities - a much needed escape during these strange times we are living in. The layout of the book is similar to ‘Beyond Boggy Creek’ - you are taken from the shadows of one location to another with various tales told at each stop along the way. If you’ve enjoyed Lyle’s previous books,Sinister Swamps will not disappoint. The downside here is I once again find myself waiting for his next book.

This is another excellent book from author Lyle Blackburn. A noted cryptid researcher, he has appeared on numerous shows and written several books on various mysterious creatures. Never mind the sample, just buy the book. Pick up any book he writes, they stand out among a crowded pack.Knowledgeable and myth and monsters, his works are thourough, well researched and easy to follow and this book is no exception. This is a leisure read through the swamps, bogs and creeks, with tales of creepy creatures. Along the way, fond memories are shared. Reading this book feels like you've spent some quality time with a dear friend, listening to spooky tales of things that inhabit the various swamps. I enjoyed it very much and can't wait for the next one. If you haven't already, read his Boggy Creek books, they are superb. A must read for cryptid lovers.

There is no one who spins a better monster yarn, than Blackburn. His thorough investigation and research comes through, as he relates these spooky tales. A great book.

Lyle Blackburns writings can take you alongside With him Virtually through the darkest scariest places in the mossy swamps 💥The education and knowledge this writer delivers is nothing short of brilliance 💥 Every page of this novel makes you feel as though your literally gliding through each swamp as Lyle describes all the dark deep swamps In this most descriptive novel • engaging • frightening at times • And since I know his gifted voice from multiple documentaries he has Narrated I could sense and see and feel as though I was literally in them ;although never being at any of them • Love this novel and would highly recommended children between the ages of 8-18 read this for science classes all over the world 🌎💥💥💥💥💥

Excellent read by a great author. Lyle Blackburn did an excellent job writing this book!! I will be purchasing more of his books!

You will never see me or mine in a swamp! I am a mountain person. I love my mountains. It is a good thing he wrote this book though, now I have an idea what they are like, beautiful and deadly. If you like spooky stories this will do nicely!

I prefer Lyle’s earlier books where he spends considerable time on just one cryptid creature but this sampling of stories from various swamps throughout the US was an interesting survey of what might be out there.

This book contains some truly mysterious and spine-chilling stories from America's swamps. A must-have for any crypto fan.
