strong and worked better than expected.
I purchased three different hickeys because I was unsure of the correct size. This particular model fits perfectly and is very secure and strong even though it is a different style then the old brass hickey that I removed. The top of the lamp is a glass shade that must be held on tight or it will break. This hickey worked perfectly. I decided to keep the other two hickeys because I have other similar lamps of varying sizes and if there is a problem in the future, I wanted to be ready.
