Excellent light with excellent value
I purchased this light for a Waterbox Marine X 110.4 tank. The tank is running freshwater fish and this light provides ample light. I know there are lights out there that can cost $500 to $1000. I'm sure those lights are good but honestly they are not necessary. The money they charge in my humble opinion is excessive and a waste. I design LED circuits and I know what they should cost. Again just my 2 cents. This light does it all except Bluetooth control. This is minor since the schedule manages sun rise and sun set cycles. It even has multi color control. If you want to change the color or the brightness then yes you have get up off your butt and touch the light. It does get warm, but not uncomfortably warm when I put my hand on it. If you read the instructions it indicates below 120 is fine. The instructions for the light could be better but take your time read them closely and you will get it. If you want Alexa or Siri to do it for you, go buy the $1000 lights. These are pets there is supposed to be a personal touch. Any other issue I could manage to come up with is offset by the cost. If you want a light that does everything and requires no thinking then you will have to buy those very expensive lights. I have chosen not to so I can buy more fish. Remember they are fish, not clubbers at a latest singles hotspot. So imitating day night cycle is the goal. This light has been up and running since June 2021 and there have been zero issues. By the way I have a Hygger pump and temperature control too. All working fine. I did not use the stands that came with this light. See this review, had to make a part to hold it but easy enough to do. https://www.amazon.com/review/R1Z58LZOB5Q1JW/ref=pe_1098610_137716200_cm_rv_eml_rv0_rv Feb 2025 Update, it failed, not a bad light but lasted just under 4 years.

Pretty good but could be better
These lights are really nice but the diy settings are a pain to program I prefer the Nicrew c10 full spectrum light it’s way easier to do custom settings on

Excellent light.
This light saved my planted aquarium. Good light for plants and fish. Plug it in, set the time and it's programmed to simulate a full days light. Automatically switches to moonlight mode at your desired time and more.

Spend the extra dollar, get a better light
I purchased this in August 2020 towards the end of the month as a replacement for 2 fluorescent tubes that covered the aquarium I purchased as a set. What a mistake that was. I had to reset the light multiple times to get the timer function working (it seems as if the light has to be reset in order for you to program as reprogramming after its been initially programmed is nearly impossible). 3 days ago (April 25th, 2021) the light started flickering or only staying on intermittently. As of today, April 28, 2021 the light doesn't work at all under any circumstances. There was no water splashed on or around the light as there is solid glass between the bottom of the light and the aquarium's lid. If someone from Amazon or the seller themselves doesn't reach out to me, I will be attempting to get my money back for this item as it was nearly 80 dollars with taxes and didn't even last a year.

Died in 2 years. Just okay until then.
Short version : Not bad for the price. Not bright enough for a planted tank but the light cycle is nice and easy to program. Died after 20 months. First pros. The contained timer with the day and night cycles including dawn and dusk are very cool and probably better for the fish then a tradititional on off timer. Easy to program. Sleek and nice looking light. Cons. This claims it's bright enough to grow plants but it really isn't unless you are growing very low light plants. Strongly recommend against this if you have a planeted tank but probably fine for one with plastic decore. 2nd big con the thing up and died after about a year and a half of use. Never moved or messed with just on its cycle on the same tank the whole time. Even hung so it wasn't close to the water surface. It started to produce a high whine, next day the white leds were half brightness, following day they didn't come on at all. You can get LED set ups the same brightness without the timer for literally 75% cheaper then this thing. If I had a do over I don't think the light cycle system is worth the 3X mark up over similar light bars.

Will grow plants quite well
57 days between my two photos. This is a 75gal (48"). I have two of the "957" models over the tank with CO2 injection. I also implement estimative index fertilization method. The substrate is mostly aqua soil. The plant growth has been explosive! No doubt these lights are capable of growing plants- even more demanding plants such as glossostigma have grown no issues. Only con is that you cannot change the levels of each color channel independently. That would be a nice feature. Also no app compatibility, which at this price point is to be expected. TL/DR: grows plants, woul recommend. Less features but same capability of higher priced fixtures.

Power interruption
This is good powerful aquarium light for plant growth. However, when there is a power interruption all setting go back to default/ factory settings and you need to reprogram the whole thing again. A simple battery backup within the system would have solved this issue but unfortunately…. This a drawback on the system.
