This was a game-changer for my 93 year old mother. She has to take meds 3 times a day. She was gradually getting more and more confused about them even though we had pill boxes set up and a checklist for what she needed to take and when. We were concerned about her missing doses or worse, doubling up. This device solved that problem! Now, when the alarm goes off, she pulls the handle, it drops what she needs into a cup and she takes them. No more obsessing over when to take her next pills or which ones to take. Once in a while, she thinks she may have heard the alarm when it's not time to take anything. Even though the alarm isn't sounding, she pulls the handle, nothing dispenses, and she is reassured it's not time for a pill. It's been a huge stress reliever for her and for us. I opted for the Pro version so I could set the alarm duration (I set it for 2 hours in case she's napping) and tone. It's expensive, but so far has been worth every penny!

This was our last attempt to keep my 87 yr old mom independent with her meds. Unfortunately on 3 occasions her morning pills got jammed (NOTE: she does not have any gel coated pills and only has 6 pills, not even close to the 18 aspirin size capacity). When she repeatedly pulled the handle to tip the dispenser, some of her smaller evening doses jumped into the adjacent compartment. Glad we caught this! Sadly we had to return it.

Like it very much but when I ordered extra trays they were the wrong ones cause everytime you dispensed the medication pills would spill over into the other compartment and morning and evening meds mixed together. Had to call company and was told wrong tray and they sent me a correct tray having no problems now. Helps my brother remember to take his medication.

This works great for my mom who has dementia. I load the medications and lock the machine. I programmed the time and chose the sound for the alarm. It allows her to feel like she is still taking the medication herself.The reason I didn’t give it 5 stars is because if the person isn’t careful when they let go of the handle, the pills can move inside. This happened once with my mom and I had to fix the medication inside. If we didn’t watch her take the medication each time that could have been a serious problem.

My father was diagnosed with the beginning stage of Alzheimer’s . His medication is essential to him being able to stay by himself. We needed a way to make sure he took it on time and the correct amount, This machine does just that, without it, we would have to go over twice a day to give him his meds. We chose the locking one because he likes to “tinker” with things. This has been a lifesaver for him and our family. So worth the money!

Now our Dad, with dementia, takes his meds on time and correctly every day. The platform is great because he does not have to pick up anything, (he has some hand neuropathy) but a cup filled with pills. The music alarm can be heard from anywhere in his home! Most importantly it is locked and he cannot "mess" with his prescriptions. All he does is go to the machine when he hears the music, grab the handle and it tilts the meds into a cup for him.

I am very happy with my purchase. The only reason I gave 4 stars is due to the first one delivered was broken during shipping. The second came quickly, and I am so happy to hear the alarm. It was loud and clear. Instructions for the one I purchase was simple, easy to understand. It doesn't have all the bells and whistles like the digital, pre-alarm, and all that other stuff. Thank you
