Are the golf club heads plastic?

Yes, a very hard plastic. I bought my grandson USA Kids golf clubs which are regular golf clubs. He uses those with the plastic balls.

would this be too small for a seven year?

We bought this for our 2-year-old nephew, and my 5-year-old wanted to play with it. My 8-year-old would have been too big for it.

Too many parts and fragile

There are a lot of parts to this and it comes apart easily. Good concept just not a good quality. And at this point we have lost parts so now it’s unusable.
