This Seems To Be An Excellent Value
My wife and I cruise the California coast on our sailboat. I purchased 100 feet of the 3/16" line for use aboard, primarily for making proper reef pendants for our new mainsail. Reef pendants are short pieces of line affixed to the sail through grommets. These lines are used for tying the loose fabric of a reefed (shortened) sail to the boom when the sail is reefed down in heavier winds. Reef pendants spend the bulk of their life being blown around, beating against the sail, doing nothing...until the wind really starts blowing and the sail is reefed. Then the reef pendants must be easy to tie in wet conditions and must subsequently be easy to untie later on when the wind eases. Consequently, these lines must be properly whipped at their ends with sail twine to prevent them from beating themselves to uselessness in the wind. Dacron (polyester) line is the line prescribed for this application. It should have minimum stretch, good UV resistance and be easily worked. So far this line seems workable in that fashion. Each of the 8 lines were cut to 40", properly whipped at the ends which were then sealed with heat from a flame. The lines were then installed on the sail with a figure-8 stopper knot on each side of the grommet. This line is easy to work with and knots quite well. The braid is sufficiently tight and the finish of the line, while being a bit slick (because it is new) is not excessively slick to the point of making a properly tied knot unreliable. I will post a few photos when we return to the boat and will update this review as these lines either live up to their task or require replacement due to their lack of quality. My guess is that they are going to work very well. For now, I have given this line 5 stars for value and 4 stars for durability because for now, I can only guess. Stay tuned...Update: This line seems to be well suited for this task (see the photo). A properly tied square knot (also known as a reef knot) holds well yet is easily untied. In addition, I have used some of the remaining line to rig temporary self-steering aboard the boat, with the line running through small dinghy blocks carrying some of the load from either the mainsail or jib and transferring that pull to the boat's tiller for steering correction. It works well.

Great Antenna Guy Rope.
I am an amateur radio operator and I use this UV resistant, rot-resistant rope as a guy line for portable antennas when operating in the field. Anything other than Dacron rope will be damaged by the sun. Other types of synthetic rope I have used deteriorates to the point of breaking in less than a year. This is what you need for ham radio antenna guy lines. The Sgt. Knotts rope that I purchased here on Amazon is magnitudes less expensive than Dacron rope purchased from the ham radio specialty stores.I will purchase this again IF this ever needs replacement.JohnK4AGO

Great quality cord, easy to work with and use
Great quality cord. I got the 250-foot spool of 3/16 inch black. It's supple, soft, and easy to handle, holds knots very well, and will serve perfectly as a general purpose cord around the house, shop, and yard. I also brought some to work to use for temporary jobs when certain things fail.Very pleased with the purchase.

Extremely strong and very high quality Dacron rope.
I have recently purchased this Dacron rope in three sizes. 1/4” 5/16” and 3/8”. This is some of the finest Dacron rope I have ever purchased. It holds knots very well and is easy to tie. I’ve been using Dacron rope, in various sizes for several years now. It holds up well in the hot Texas sun where I live, and has exceeded my expectations. I’m currently using the 5/16” rope for the main support line for a hammock stand I built. I weigh 225 lbs. So, I needed a small, but strong rope that I felt would comfortably support my hammock, with me in it. Actually, the 1/4” proved to be strong enough. But, honestly I didn’t feel comfortable with that size for my application. The 5/16” rope works perfectly for me. Sgt. Knots provides a high quality product at a good price, plus fast and free shipping. I’ve attached a photo of the hammock stand I built. The 5/16” rope is the main support between the two cross stands that support my hammock. Sgt. Knots is now my go to vendor for future purchases.

Great durability
I use the 1/8" cord to tie down tarps covering firewood. I've been using the same cords for several years and they are still in great condition, so they definitely can handle the elements. As the firewood pile becomes smaller over winter I have to re-tie the knots to shorten the cords. While the cords never become undone on their own, it is easy to un-tie them.I use 3/8" cord for outdoor clothes drying line (energy saving and clothes smell great by drying outdoors). Again, the cord has been in use for years and remains fine. It hasn't become mildewed like some rope I've used.

GREAT CORDAGE! BLACK RESISTS HAWAII'S STRONG UV OUTDOORS
I learned my knots from my stepdad, a WW2 Naval Non-Com in the SeaBees. He gave me his "Blue Jacket Manual" at age 9 and I 'd read and studied it within a year. Then I was in Cub Scouts and learned a few knots - he coached me on tying everything from the bowline thru the sheepshank and got me splicing rope the right way.I got this rope fro tying milk crates along and adjacent to my wheelchair deck to the outside ground via long #3 rebars driven in the ground. I wanted a stiff, strong cord to hitch to the rebar and bring up through the top of the milk crate and secure the crate tightly to the earth. I will drill the 5 gal. buckets and zip tie them to the tops of the milk crates via small holes thru sides at bottom and in the bucket bottom.Thieves are prevalent here and my bucket garden must be close to the fence of my tiny yard, hence the precautions. We also have very strong trade winds here, 20 mph+, and taller plants can be toppled. Softer cordage, like 440/550 Military stuff, would be difficult to "fish" thru the milk crate while setting it on the ground - this solid braid is perfect for this job!

Sturdy and Light
I'm using this to hang my amateur radio dipole in the trees. I was using nylon string that kept breaking twice a year. This stuff is light and very sturdy. Product arrived very fast and is exactly as described. I plan to buy more.
