This is a great set of old-timey Christmas postcards. The images are reproductions of actual postcards. According to the inside cover, Christmas postcards were very big from 1880 – 1910, and all of the postcards reproduced are from that period.All the scenes are colorful and, of course, they all have a child or children. The wording ranges from a standard Christmas salutation to a little poem. Charming and very much in the spirit of the season.These are nicely oversized, at 6 ½" x 4 ¾" each. The message side dies give an indication of the artist and year, if known. But the cards are big enough that that still leaves you lots of room for a message.The 30 cards arrive in a a "book" with one perforated side. I found that it was difficult to cleanly tear out a postcard in the middle of the pack. So I've torn them all out and keep them in the nice "bookends" they come in.This is a nice set of cards by Laughing Elephant.Happy Reader

The postcards are quite study, as mentioned by others, you do have to tear them from the book which leaves an edge that can be cleaned up with a paper cutter. The cards are oversized, which means you have to use .49 to mail them, opposed to a postcard stamp.

It's fun to do something different this year and these postcards are just a bright change from Christmas cards. The postcards are firm, not flimsy and the scenes are delightful. They add an extra sense of joy in the Now, as well as a remembrance of things gone by.

So nice! Easy to separate if tou take the cover off and bend each card back at perforation before trying to tear it out of the book.

Bought these for my Christmas cards this year. They come in a book and are perforated. Came out easily once I got the cover off.

Really stunning

A nice selection of large Christmas postcards featuring children from around 1880-1920. They are supplied in book form and can be carefully removed by tearing along the perforation. I bought them to use as Christmas party invitations. There is plenty of space to write on the reverse and in some cases they doubled as Christmas cards as I was giving them to people I wouldn't usually give a card to and many of the cards have a festive greeting. Most of the designs are good with the occasional less attractive one in the mix but on the whole a good selection and the recipients were delighted with them.

This is a book of 30 postcards covering the period 1880-1910. These are Christmas images of children and are beautifully reproduced by Laughing Elephant. These are too nice to remove from the book and are just there to look and admire.
