great for polishing old tiles
I used them to polish antique hydraulic tiles that were very stained and they now look like new and very soft. easy to use, I wish they were a little wider because they are very small for a normal sanding machine, but maybe i didn't find the right size.

They work well when used at the right speed.
These pads seem to work better than most others I have purchased. They don't seem to leave as much residue. Speed of use is the key. Not too fast and not too slow. Mid-range around 2000 RPM works best.

Cost-Effective Solution
Used this set along with a $40 variable speed polisher from Harbor Freight to ease the edges on some granite shower shelves I cut. Went patiently through the disc progression, misting the granite with a spray bottle as well as rinsing the discs to remove accumulated grit along the way. Wet process also cut down on the dust, but I still used PPE. End result was as you’d expect from a professional countertop fabricator. Very pleased!

Polishing rocks.
I've been looking for a 50 grit diamond pad for polishing rocks which holds up and does the job. Sticking with this one.

Works but not as wet
I always worked with wet pads and they work wonders. I wanted to give this dry pad I try, however I was not pleased with the result as it took a longer time to achieve what can be done with a couple of passes using the wet pads. I would say though, this is a deal if you want to work on something installed inside the house and you don't want to use water because it makes little to no dust and it can remove small imperfections without making a mess.
