This 2010 film stars Salman Khan as the eponymous hero Chulbul Pandey as a Robin Hood type hero who retains a share for the wealth he obtains for himself whilst undertaking his duties as a policeman. His personal life is complicated by the fact his mother had re-married and his stepfather does not care for him but his own son only. This boy is a bit parasitical in nature. Pandey has entrusted his wealth to his mother who dispenses his ill gotten gains as directed by her son, but following his death the half brother steals the money with the view trying to impress the father of the girl he loves so they can get married by using it as a dowry. Pandey puts a stop to this, as a result the crooks are able use the half brother in an attempt to bring Pandey down which results in the climatice fight. Meanwhile Pandey meets an unusual girl (played by Sonakshi Sinha) and starts to romance her with the help of her alcoholic father.

If you like Bollywood movies you will love this. Classic tongue in cheek gritty cop drama. It has everything. Enormous fun. Kept me entertained on an arduous Indian train journey.

Salman Khan settles nicely into this Bollywood police chief tough guy character, despite none of his family supporting him. He tries to find order from chaos in his life in far from a perfect way, as a police officer and in his personal life. Dabangg 3 is a more refined version of this film, this has a similar style/formula and tells "Chulbul Pandey"s earlier years.

Salman khan really showed off and he is looking very handsome with his new looks. Great songs, funny dialogues. It is really entertaining and is a family movie. It's a SUPER DUPER HIT of 2010!!!

It is a pity that even for second time sent the item never arrived. not sure what happend to the Royal Post- but it could not find the way to The Netherlands ;)

Dabangg is in my top three of all-time favorite Hindi movies. It's Salman Khan's show all the way, but so many other elements of the film are wonderful as well. The technicolor opening credits let you know that this film is not going to take itself entirely seriously, which is confirmed when, in the middle of one of the opening action sequences, Salman breaks into a hilarious little dance to the tune of a mobile ringtone.The film centers on Chulbul Pandey, a sometimes-corrupt, sometimes-noble, but always hilarious and kick-ass cop in a dusty, provincial town. The film could easily have been titled "The Adventures of Chulbul Pandey": Pandey-ji makes enemies with corrupt politicians; Pandey-ji fights with his brother; Pandey-ji navigates falling head-over-heels in love with the town beauty.Salman Khan's characterization of Chulbul Pandey is pitch-perfect; he's both vicious and vulnerable. And it has introduced a whole new set of trademark moves into the canon of Salman-the-superstar: the belt-buckle swagger, sunglasses hooked over the back of his shirt-collar, and wildly drunken dancing. The filmmakers found a perfect match in newcomer Sonakshi Sinha, who plays the female lead with sensitivity and understatement (in addition to which, she's stunning). Sonakshi and Salman look wonderful paired together.The songs - oh, the songs! The opening number, "Dabangg", is rhythmic and throbbing with simple yet highly effective choreography. The romantic "Tere Mast Do Nain" will have you falling in love and laughing at the same time. The supporting cast is excellent, from Arbaaz Khan as the slightly smarmy but not entirely bad brother (and Salman's real-life brother), to the sympathetic performance of Dimple Kapadia as the mother.In short, this film is everything a Hindi entertainer should be. Watch it.

Man, I love this movie.It is delightfully farfetched and overacted, with the main character being a fantastic action hero - bold, brave, strong, impervious, and tenderly devoted to his woman. My favorite scene is the last one, when the hero is celebrating his victory, and a lackey bursts in. The music stops and all eyes turn to him.To paraphrase: "Sir! Sir! The man you just killed, he has a brother! ""Yeah, so? ""What if he comes seeking revenge?!"(smiling, and breaking the fourth wall) "Let him come! "Cue Dabangg 2.The best known song from the movie, Tere Mast Mast Do Nain, is enchanting, and worth looking up.

I understand this movies is not everyone's cup of tea but at least it deserves one time watch. Action scenes are good to watch on Blu-Ray.Blu-Ray transfer is awesome, Audio is perfect, power packed, nice punch, good lows. Must buy if you love action scenes and sound.

salmans performance was awesome, sonu is great.sonakshi is superb, in a single word dabangg rocks and abhinav as director is superb.
