Scotland Yard is justly celebrated for its long history of crime fighting and mystery solving. This clever book of puzzles contains some extremely challenging and intriguing puzzles worthy of the very best minds at the Yard. This is not a book to work through quickly, it should be kept at hand and dipped into from time to time when the need for mind sharpening is most urgent. A word of warning: naturally enough these puzzles were written by and designed for British solvers, and there may well be unfamiliar Anglicisms from time to time. Nevertheless perceptive readers will be able to solve the puzzles with some hard (but refreshing) mental effort.

Be prepared; some of the Anglo-isms presented words that are not commonly used outside of the British Isles. These may prevent you from solving some of the puzzles. Still most entertaining...
