I've bought a few fans over the year and not been satisfied - some were too loud, some were not powerful enough, some broke down fast, however this fan purchase has been the best one so far.The assembly instructions were easy to follow, it took less than 15 mins (if that even). The power of this fan is strong, it somehow feels like it is blowing cold air towards you even during a very hot day (something I found that other fan brands struggled with as they would generate warm air instead).As for noise, I would say despite the size of the fan, it is quieter than other fans I've had. Whilst it is not completely silent, it is soft enough that it just becomes gentle background noise.Best of all, it looks great too! The black finish and the wood effect makes the fan look high quality.

A very decent fan.It replaces a 5-year-old one and it's noticeably faster, much more quiet and a pleasure to buy.Aesthetically it is pleasing, and the base is very solid metal.I would have given it 5 out of 5, however the installation instruction the next do non-existent.Nevertheless, anyone moderately competent and logical could put it together, in 5-10 mins.Unpack everything put the supporting arm into the base and secure put the main unit onto the arm and screw in.Carefully undo the two bolts on the main unit, fit the back plate cover and screw in, etc, etcNot hard at all.And I'm already cooler!

Really solid fan with a heavy metal base that protects it from being toppled. Which is important, because I knocked our previous fan over whilst trying to move it, and it fell apart when it hit the ground. This one is far more stable: assembly was easy, though care still has to be exercised. It looks attractive with the wood effect stand and blades, and even on the lowest setting it pumps out an impressive indoor blast. Good range on the "air-spread" setting, too. It's quite noisy in the bedroom at night so we've purchased small bedside fans and will keep this one in the lounge.To sum up yes, its a lot more expensive than the cheap, rather flimsy models at the budget end of the market, but money well spent, I reckon because it should last. Disappointed to note, however, that whilst the words "Russell Hobbs--a British icon since 1952" are emblazoned proudly on the box, the fan was in fact made in China.

Looks fab, and it was really easy to put together. All the fixings came with it too. It’s powerful even on (1) and will certainly provide some relief from the 29 degree heat we’ve had today. I would definitely repurchase.

I was looking for a fan to match the aesthetic of my room and to my surprise found this one.The base has a good weight to it so it is very stable and won’t be easily knocked over. The entire body of the fan, including blades and wood-effect parts is made of metal. The wood-effect parts are metal with some sort of coating with the wood effect on, but they do not look cheap and plasticky and have a matte finish.The fan does an excellent job of cooling a room, with setting 1/3 being sufficient in most cases, with 3/3 being more akin to a leaf blower than a fan. The fan is relatively quiet, especially at the lower settings.Overall, I would say the fan offers a great aesthetic, high quality fit and finish, as well as excellent cooling ability at a good price point.
