I was afraid that it might be the locks where I accidentally change the pin but it's quite hard to accidently change the pin. The length was great too. No complains.

I am using a few of these for what I would consider to be not high priority usage. They would be easy enough to crack open with a pair of bolt cutters, but, most locks are. I felt like spending $25 or so on a single lock for a purpose such as I was using here would’ve been wasteful overkill. The combinations are easy enough to set and can be changed at a later date if you so decide. Just make sure that you record or at least remember the combination you have changed to or you will be out of luck.

This last spring we had a chain-link fence installed in our front yard. We live on a corner lot so we have two gates. This pack of two works perfectly. They are easy to open and slide open easily. I’m sure once they tarnish a bit we will have to use some WD-40 to loosen them up some, but they really are a great little lock for very little money .

Needed a waterproof combination lock to secure an outdoor shed with an unusual geometry -- shackle needs to pass vertically through the latch and still able to operate the lock (we had one lock with a combination on the bottom which had to be mounted upside down to use, but I suspect corroded because water got inside the lock).This one has been working well for the better part of a year, then became "stuck in the open position".I've tried resetting the lock, but it appears to be scrambled inside -- the last time I opened it, the shackle may have got into the reset notch when I was turning the lock body to to remove it from the door handle -- I caught it and turned it back, but it's possible the one or more of the digits in the combination got scrambled.The other possibility is that someone was recently putting it though the latch with the bottom of the lock up -- could this have caused water to enter the mechanism? If so, should be documented.In any case, the resistance on the 4 wheels is definitely not the same and one is hard to turn so it may just be a failure, but I'm trying to give as much Information as possible.Overall, it does what it was designed to do, but is a little quirky. Given the price, that's expected.(I'm slightly annoyed that Amazon doesn't allow an obvious way to contact a vendor -- hint: like a "contact vendor" link on the Order Detail page -- or I'd have done that before posting a review and hope the vendor sees it)
