Works for now
I had comcast modem/router and the wifi was coming and going constantly. Then I bought Arris surfboard modem/router to replace the comcast router, and it works fine, except for WiFi. It is not stable. More stable that the Comcast router, but still disconnecting etc. Then I bought a TP-Link business grade WiFi Access Point to use for WiFi.It also would disconnect when both of my kids are in their school zoom sessions and I am working from home at the same time. Once or twice a day and almost always during my son's zoom :-)I returned the TP-Link AP, and bought this Cisco AP.Not a single problem!!!Easy to set up, connect, works like a charm, no disconnection. This is a week or 10 days since I bought it.

Fully featured, and affordable, FROM CISCO?!?
I purchased two of these for a local office. Configured the first one with no problem. Plugged the second one in and it auto configured itself. Web interface is very intuitive. Would buy again.

Unable to setup, Cisco support no help
What a frustrating experience. No way to power the product without POE. Added IP injector, easy start guide says scan QR code which loads Cisco mobile app. No instructions how to set up. I picked new setup location, menu choices seem intuitive but will not allow me to check any boxes and continue. Called Cisco support for directions but they are unable to give me a support ticket unless I register at Cisco.com. Went to register, filled out information, it sends an access verification code to my email account but the website refuses to take the access code. Called Cisco back to find out what to do next: they are unable to help me and actually told me to contact amazon. All of this because they didn’t include instructions on how to set up their device. What a waste of a couple hours of my time. I’m returning this item: stay away from CISCO products.

Works great
This thing is cool. Using this power-over-ethernet (POE) access point our wi-fi will stay up even when the power goes out. We create multiple network names (SSIDs) to isolate work/personal/streaming types of devices from one another. It takes 5 or 6 minutes for the AP to boot before you can connect to it, just keep this detail in mind when setting things up.

Uses untagged VLAN for its DHCP requests
It took me hours to figure this out! When configuring for a deployment with multiple SSIDs and multiple VLANs, this access point will talk to your router DHCP server through an untagged VLAN! Well, my peplink router had a bug where it did not allow untagged traffic through a Trunk port, thus preventing this AP from getting an IP address, resulting in a notorious red blinking led and no connectivity at all! With the firmware update to the router, the untagged DHCP requests have been allowed, the access point was now happy and SSID/VLAN combinations working fine.Access point functionality is ok, the signal is not as strong compared to PepWave. I decided to still keep this AP in hopes of maybe deploying a mesh network in the future.

Reliable WiFi connection
Rock solid, never drops connections unlike Unifi AC Pro Gen2. Management portal runs on the device itself and can be accessed over hard wire. The UI is very simple and once setup, the device does not need attention.

Very buggy for IoT Devices
I’ve been a network engineer for over 5 years now with a CCNP. Bought this for my homelab to segregate my IoT stuff from everything else.Worked fine for a few days before my IoT devices start mysteriously dropping out one by one. They simply failed to associate and the logs doesn’t even give a damm clue, now the thing shows up as offline in the app despite 100% being online.I have no idea if I got a defective unit but I barely made any complex setups. I just created a new WLAN for my IoT with a basic SSID (not even hidden) and password, nothing fancy.
