An excellent entry-level smartphone for my Grandson. Competently priced, feature-packed and excellent build quality make this a fantastic choice, if like me you live in the UK or an EU country and you have a dislike for Google. The only drawback for those who do like Google is the lesser selection of Apps available through the Huawei native apps for utilities/games but the selection is growing all the time.

Easy to use

The device's software is absolutely useless, does not support anything owned by Google which means you cannot have basic apps such as bank app, maps, messager, huawei app store has just nothing to download and play store does not work on this device also.Another thing, top camera got broken in my handbag just in the next day. I am very disappointed, must use everything via browser (bing, Microsoft) which are also rubbish, mainly software does make my everyday usage very hard. I don't think I can return it as is damaged already.. Worse device I've ever had...

Great image, good speakers. Only thing might put people off is the fact that you don't get Google app store. You can still get Facebook etc but you need to either get the .apk or go to Hauwei's store.

I like Huawei devices, I like that they offer good value. They have top range for reasonable prices and mid-range for great prices compared to others. However, due to the US concerns that a Chinese company is overtaking American companies like Samsung and Apple Huawei was forced to remove Google services. This is unfortunate as it is hard to use at the moment without it. I'm sure Huawei will eventually make equal or better programs but until then it's sadly a phone that is hard to use for anything more than phone calls and texts. For the moment I will stick with Huawei devices that run Andriod 9 as the still have Google services.

A really nice looking, good quality device that works exactly like the other Huawei (P9 Lite) that i needed to replace but with better quality hardware EXCEPT Huawei devices apparently no longer come with access to the Google Play store.I have found ways around this by adding some website shortcuts to the homescreen to replace the apps that aren't available (of which there seem to be many (Insta, BBC & Sky news, etc). However, can't seem to access Amazon Prime Video or Netflix at the moment.The phone seems to be great quality and I think I'll survive without the apps, but do hope the Huawei installed App store gets up to speed ASAP

Fantastic phone. Bought as a replacement as son kept smashing iphone. Now he doesn’t want to go back to iPhone and I’m tempted to change myself. This phone is that good.

Phone is fine for it's main uses, however absence of Google is a nuisance
