Durable and effective fish wire
So cabling newbie here.. I needed to pull some cables to hardwire between the roof where the 5G CPE is down to the ground floor of a 3 storey property to where my switch is. I was debating on whether I should get a a fibreglass wire one or there was another type that looked like it was some kind of twine rope because it seemed easier to handle. I settled on this steel wire one because I read that fibreglass breaks and the twine thing just didn't look like it was going to go very far down any pipe without scrunching up.I read in some reviews of difficulties with rolling back the steel wire ones in other brands so decided to go for the Klein tools one.The first cable pull was a 22AWG think wire and it took quite a bit 9f grunt to get it through the long run in my house. But the Klein one I have to say held up - it moved pretty well around some very tight bends and the fish hook thing really worked to hold in the cable as I I pulled it. Feeling back, the mechanism handles very well, straightening the links out of the fish wire as it goes back in. It's built well and although it's heavy, the design lends well to being able to handle it.Amazon is always keen to recommend additional products that go with the item you're buying when you add thinga to your cart but it failed to remind me of some important items you should definately get if you're going to be pulling wire:- Safety glasses - the steel wire flexes about when your feeding or pulling it in, you don't want it hitting your face and damaging your eyes- Sometimes you have to pull pretty hard and wiggle the wire around and a suitable paid of gloves really helps with keeing your hands from getting becoming sore!- Some cable pulling lube to loosen things upI haven't used other fish wires so can't really compare it to anything. All I can say is that it did the job well and it seems to be built well.

This is the trick
If your running wire or cable threw conduit this is a must. I put some camera cables in conduit and buried them about 3 or 4 foot under ground over to my garage and the cables went bad. If it wasn't for this thing I would have been shoveling dirt again. This thing is amazing and made running the new cables in conduit a lot easier then I could have ever imagined. Worth every penny!

It's a Snake!
Works as intended. I originally purchased the 1/4" thick Klein fish tape, but it was defective on arrival. So I returned and purchased the 1/8" fish tape. I don't have to fight to pull it out and it reels up fairly easily.
