Aaden - AA Battery Charger

Insanely good for the price. Plug right in easy to use does it’s job

One of my favorite innovations of the last 30 years has to be the rechargeable battery. I remember being in middle school/high school and going through scores of AA batteries when playing music on my Sony Discman. There was one year that I actually requested rechargeable batteries and a charger to go with them as a gift. As the years have gone by, simple rechargeable batteries have paved the way for battery packs and internal batteries that we just charge by plugging a device into power. But, there are still some devices that require individual batteries like the Apple Keyboard, Magic Mouse and Apple Trackpad.Each of these devices is a wonderful accessory to the Apple computer and they use AA batteries. Some time ago, Apple released their own rechargeable AA batteries to go along with these accessories. And with the batteries, they also included a wall charger. We actually have two of these wall chargers in our household and several Apple AA batteries. While the wall charger is nice, it’s not always the most convenient way to charge these batteries. Connivence and efficiency are the two main reasons that BlueLounge released the Aaden, USB battery charger.Aaden provides an elegant, discreet battery charger that you can keep with your computer. It plugs directly into your computer’s USB port and sits alongside it to ensure you always have a spare set of batteries ready to go at a moment’s notice. The small charging box looks a lot like a miniature Apple TV and it blends right in with everything else on your desktop.So, how does it charge? I found that it charges just a well as, if not better than, the Apple wall charger. Now, while this device is made to work with the Apple batteries, you can us it to recharge any AA rechargeable batteries as long as they are standard Ni-MH or NiCd batteries.Aaden makes it very easy to keep batteries charged and ready to go. The charging box only holds two batteries that hide beneath the small device with individual indicator lights dedicated to showing when each battery is fully charged.. I personally would like to see an Aaden XL model come out in the future that holds more batteries at one time. I'm a big fan of Bluelounge products. Despite having several battery chargers that plug into the wall, this is insanely useful to have on your desk and its wonderful minimalist design means it doesn't add to the usual desk clutter at all.
