This collection of diary comics features the ennui and wee of twenty-something Jane Mai whose emotions and art traverse the high and low. Moments of visual poetry and heartbreak are interspersed by bad body hair and bathroom disastersmuch like life. Jane Mai is a freelance illustrator and comic artist from Brooklyn, New York. Her work has appeared in several anthologies and self-published zines. In 2012, Koyama Press published her first book, Sunday in the Park with Boys , which was followed by the zine Sorry I Can't Come in on Monday I'm Really Really Sick . Review: Overall good, don't take it to seriously. - A little "unpolished" but totally real. Feels like real small glimpses into an artists head, ambient silly ones. Reminds me of "cat people" by seo kim, another funny and good read. Review: Wonderful - Jane Mai's art is fresh and fun, her sense of humor tied with her loose drawings makes for a great read. Quick, autobiographical/anecdotal entries. If you like autobio comics, you'll like this.

Hilarious.
I was unfamiliar with Jane Mai's work, but read an intriguing review for this book on the AV Club. I couldn't put this book down. Mai's thoughtfully illustrated diary entries alternate between hilarious and touching. Really excellent autobio comics.

Irreverent and hilarious
Jane Mai is awesome. "Have you considered that I’m not insecure… And that you are an a$$****?" This! Jane Mai is awesome. Irreverent and hilarious, this book has crappy art, but it’s the best. It’s wrong in so many ways, that it’s perfect. "Let a b**** have some gravitas, okay?"
