You absolutely need this to replace motor mounts on Mercedes Benz S500, S600, S55, W220 and many others. It makes the job easier and will save you time and money by doing it yourself. It’s $1500 and up to replace motor mounts, and they will fail, it’s not about if, it’s a temporary part, they fail and then the motor begins making contact with the frame, and it lurches up and down in the engine bay - a simple job when done correctly and with the proper tools. Using this tool and a good engine support bar to assist with lifting your engine up from the top, makes the job much safer and easier than it may seem. 256,000 miles on my 2004 S500 and it feels like a new car after doing this job.

Will not work for a 2010 - 2012 w212
I don’t know why I thought this was gonna work for an early model w212. It clearly didn’t say it would in the description. It is too long for the w212 and you will not have enough room against the firewall to even make a turn. I had to cut off a lil over half an inch and welded it back together to work. But it worked well after I modified. If your car is listed as per the description it is a great product for a great price. If you’re buying this for an early model w212 be prepared to make some modifications, it will be tough without a grinder and welder.

A must have torque adapter
Would see Torque Adapter sets on the Snap On and Mac Tools truck and thought I would NEVER need them. And I was right. My nephew needed this tool to change the mounts on his rear wheel drive Mercedes.The bolts were not Stretch Armstrong tight so this tool was able to perform well removing and installing the two bolts.Glad I was able to find this tool being sold separately as I may never use it again and I already have enough Snap On tools that I purchased because they were cool that I do not use.
