The product was easy to apply and gave excellent professional results. I used a weed sprayer to quickly mist the tree with water until damp. We started trying to apply the snow with a sifter but that was very tedious so we switched to just throwing loose handfuls doing our best to make sure the snow scattered evenly. It only took about 5 min to cover the whole tree. The look is very natural and looks like snow/frost. We used 2 bags on a 9.5’ tree. The coverage was pretty good, like frosted with some heavier areas. If you want it full white I would say you’d probably want 3 bags. Make sure you put plastic down, it makes a bit of a mess, but no problem if you have the floor covered. Suggest doing it in the garage or outside.

The tree I had initially wanted was out of stock, and I was determined to have a flocked tree. I decided to DIY a bit. First I tried the Santa Snow Spray (I know it is not meant for flocking but it was worth a shot), although it turned my tree white it wasn’t fulfilling my expectations. I decided to order this and it IS worth it!! It gave me the texture I was looking for and it made it so much more appealing. Was easy to apply and it actually dries well and pretty quick too. We did use a spray bottle to mist the tree but did not use a strainer we found using our hands was easier. I did this with my partner’s help, but can see this being done perfectly by just one person. Overall, easy to clean up too as long as you place something under your tree like an old bedsheet, plastic table cover, or garbage bag.For the record, we got a 7.5 ft tree and maybe only used about half of the 2lb bag for our desired look.

Ive been wanting a flocked tree but didnt want to spend what they want for one. Figured Id try this stuff after reading on a craft site that it worked the best. And it was so easy to do ! I laid out an old sheet and I had a short wide box. Set my tree up in the box and that caught any flocking that fell. Did it in my basement. The flocking has no odor or smell to it. I was really impressed how good my tree turned out. Just as good as one you'd buy in the store. I let it sit overnight and checked it this morning. The stuff dries nice and hard. I did a 6 ft tree that isnt real wide and I still have 1/4th of the bag left. Going to flock some pinecones to put on the tree.

I used Sno Flock ourside in a day when there was not any breeze at all. It was easy to use, although I used a kitchen colander & it wasn’t empty b4 I gave up on it & used my gloves hand. I had to change my gloves 6 times to flock a 7’ Tree bcuz they DO get wet from spraying ~ I used an Old Windex Bottle as my Spray bottle. If I had it to do all over again, I’d use the Mesh colander & get INSIDE each branch b4 shaking on the mid to end branches. I think a small Mesh colander would be needed & lift up each branch. Regardless. The Sno is going to get wet & clump up. I don’t know how to avoid that.I used the whole bag, & the tree did NOT get heavily flocked. I was disappointed. BUT, it did a pretty good job & looked OK. I was able to leave the tree out to dry for almost 10 hours on a 70 degree partly Sunny Houston day. I only had one door to bring it inside, so minimum brushing against the door ~ but a LOT fell off. I let it sit over night & the next morning I fluffed our the branches & a LOT came off. I then put lights on it & a LOT came off. It was a tree I was going to take to the curb, so a good one to “practice” on for $40+ dollars. It looks fine decorated, but that because the way I decorate (I load em up!) ~ You can’t really see the tree branches anyway. I am taking the tree to the curb when I take it down tomorrow.I have trees Flocked & Unflocked -pre lit & Un prelit. The store bought Flocked do not lose nearly as much year after year as this tree did this year. As for Pre-lit ~ I have 3 &Lights have burned out on each. I’ve had to add lights to sections and also totally put lights in the entire tree ~ so I’ve found pre-lit trees to be a waste of money. Also, their should be at least 100 lights per foot of tree.Therefore a 7’ tree should have at least 700 lights. Ha! Try to find one.I would not use the DIY Sno Flock again, but spring for the Xtra $’s to buy one Flocked.
