Awesome knot tool
Made with strong plastic, lightweight, durable rubber with strong clamping power. Easy to use, it’s like having an extra hand. Folds up to be pretty compact it’s worth the space in the tackle box. I don’t have anything negative to say about it. Would like to have a few more so I could always have one in each of my tackle boxes. Worth the purchase makes FG tying a breeze and gives you a good finished strong knot. You don’t want to miss the biggest one in the lake because of a poorly dressed knot. This tool helped me take my knots to a new level.

Makes it so easy!
It works good but the spring could be a little stronger to keep more tension on the lines. I've tied 3 FG knots to connect fluorocarbon leader to braid and all 3 have held perfectly and run through the guides smoothly and hold strong. Do yourself a favor and find a Youtube video from TackleWest that shows how to use this tool. Its not complicated but has to be done a specific way or else the knot will fail. I think for what it is it could be a little cheaper but it seems to be the best one available.

Doesn’t Allow You To Tighten Knot
It’s a nice tool, but doesn’t allow you to do the very critical step of tightening the braid around the knot after the first half-hitch is tied. I just release the device at that time, tighten the knot and finish the half hitches without the tool.

BUY IT!!!
Yeah, it's expensive for what you get, BUT if you struggle to tie an FG knot like I did then it's worth every dime. There's a few tutorials on YouTube that teach you how to use it correctly. It's actually EASY to tie an FG knot with this. Yes, I said EASY!!!

Clunky to use
A well made quality tool. Makes it easy to get the knot started but getting the knot finished per the instructions is clunky. You have to remove, reorient and reattach all the lines to finish the knot. I returned it because it was easier to tie it all by hand without the tool.

Tying great FG knots
Now I can tie great FG knots easily. Great tool. No gimmick here.

Good product
It works really good , it keeps the knot very small , like anything else you do have to practice some with it. Overall it works great.

Great tool, makes it much easier.
This tool helps a great deal insofar as tying a decent fg knot is concerned. The only negative being no instructions in English, just what I assume to be Japanese. I has to watch a YT video, as I had my loose end on the wrong side the first time and stuffed the knot up. Otherwise, I would have given 5 stars.

Simplifies a complex knot
Yes, some people can tie an FG knot in the dark, with their eyes closed while rubbing their belly and hopping on one leg. I'm that other guy.... The uncoordinated, clumsy and unpracticed type. This tool does exactly what it claims. It is still better with a little practice, but after only three knots, I don't need to look at a manual or watch a video. The knots are good, almost too good. I rarely use heavy line and leader, but nearly dislocated my shoulder trying to get my lure off a snag. I eventually cut the leader, as I couldn't get enough pressure on the leader, even while pedalling furiously away with the tide, to break the knot. I never had double uni knots come undone, but the FG is a step above and definitely a better option on rods with micro guides.
