Singing Machine Bluetooth Karaoke System with LED Disco Lights USB and Microphone Portable, White, Apple (SML385BTW)

I returned the Hello Kitty Karaoke Machine I bought for my 4 year old Granddaughter because it only worked for about a week and then no longer played anymore. I replaced it with the Singing Machine Disco Light Karaoke System and this is a small, but powerful Karaoke Machine. My 4 year old Granddaughter loves the lights and the loud sound and so does my 21 month old Granddaughter. You can hook up two microphones at the same time and they both sing along to the music. The flashing lightsare fun to watch and the sound is loud (you can control the volume) and the adults have a great time singing along also. I would highly recommend this Karaoke Machine.

I bought this for my 9 year old for her birthday. I received it early along with the Frozen sing along CD.My daughter loved it!!! She played with it all night. A few things you need to know before buying. There is only one microphone, but it has a plug in for 2. It comes with a bonus cd with 20 songs including Twinkle Twinkle Little Star, London Bridge, Pop goes the Weasel, 3 Blind Mice and other classics. Also an adapter to hook up to a TV. I would recommend buying a karaoke CD along with it. The machine is intended to be hooked up to a TV, and when the music plays, the words come up on the screen to sing along to. If you don't plug into TV, the music plays. It also has disco lights that add a really cool effect. You can adjust the level of music volume, echo, balance and auto voice control on the front if the machine.

I bought this machine for my grand daughter at age eight and she is almost sixteen an loves it.

We got this for our daughter's 4th birthday. It was a big hit and does a pretty good job, but there are one or two issues.1. You can't find a duplicate of the microphone, so if you want two you will have one that doesn't match. The mic that comes with it is better than I expected, so it would have been nice to have two of the same thing. Even better if it had just come with two mics.2. The auxiliary jack is a mini plug, which is okay but I would have preferred RCS.3. If you leave the Aux jack plugged in the CD player won't work, which took me a minute to figure out and caused some hysteria until the problem was solved.4. The master volume, mic volume, and vocal track cutout volume are not totally intuitive and take a few tries to really get right. We found that it works best if you run the audio out to a stereo instead of relying solely on the main speaker, which means it's not great for a bedroom with no sound system. This is okay because we intend to run it to the TV at some point.5. It's nice that you can connect it to a TV to get the words. Right now we don't use this because neither of our girls can read.6. The CD controls lag like crazy. This is the biggest problem by far. It can be pretty tedious to get to track 11 right after you put the disc in, taking a couple of minutes.I recommend it, but just don't expect perfection. It is a toy after all.

I bought this for my brother in laws birthday party. A bunch of preteens, with pizza, pop and a karaoke machine and they were all in heaven. This this was easy to set up and easy to use and everyone's had a blast. I had a couple relatives borrow it and want to get one of their own. It's great for us because we just use the CD's we have or make our off from iTunes. It was just a great way for them to hear themselves and feel like one of the adults - we usually have a karaoke night as well. The lights on it are amazing and an added plus, I couldn't believe I got it for the price it's at. Now the kids play with it all of the time.

This is ok--it's not garbage and it's not awesome. Now, my eight year old daughter, who loves to sing and play music, thinks it's great; as the one who bought it, I have more of a critical eye. As far as a basic CD player, it's fine, and the volume output is decent for a kids' stereo. The volume knob creates a static/scratching noise through the speaker when the volume is initially adjusted. My daughter simply turns the knob back and forth for a few seconds and the static noise ceases. This is generally caused by some kind of build up on the contacts for the volume controls. I haven't sat down to see what the easiest method is for getting to the contacts, and since it doesn't bother my daughter, it's not high on my To-Do list. But, new out of the box, there shouldn't be build up, etc., to cause that.Another caveat is the mic volume output. It tops out well below the master volume, so if you want the mic louder than the mic volume will allow, you have to turn up the master volume, which defeats the purpose because then the music gets louder, too. Again, my daughter doesn't notice this, so it's not a big deal, just one of those things I've picked up on.The "disco lights" are fun and can be turned off, which is a plus. There is a line-in for an external device (i.e. iPod, etc.), as well as a 1/4" line-in for another mic/instrument (although you should be aware that the mic/instrument will need to have a preamp/be powered--I ran my Shure SM58 mic into this, just to test it, and I could barely hear anything).Bottom line, this is more like a toy karaoke machine, which will be fine for kids. Keep your expectations hovering at that level and you'll be satisfied.

Kids love it! Ages 6 and 8. They can both work the machine without any help. We bought an extra mic so they can both sing at the same time. Overall, the machine works, but is definitely cheap quality. Don't drop it. I leave ours on the floor. The best function that is a must is the aux input that you can connect your ipad to. With all the Karaoke videos on youtube, you'll have endless songs to choose from. Just don't forget to screen for the clean edits. Kids end up using youtube more because a lot of the songs on the cds are not original singers and they don't seem to care for that.

Good sound for our family vacay. Made a few nights a hoot. Still using at home too.

Oh my word! Just delivered in good time for Christmas as a hunch tells me either it will be out of stock or the price will rise in a few weeks. We just set this up to test it out and it is fab! We have 5 kids between 3 and 10 and this is their joint present. The cd's are current, and the bonus nursery rhyme cd is great for the toddler! It looks great, the quality is ace. It's neat and light (but not cheap feeling) We set it up easily We are total technophobes but honestly an idiot could do it ;) So so excited for them to get it!. Will order a second microphone shortly for an extra fiver and honestly cannot wait! Buy it! And do it soon if a Christmas present. The reviews speak for themselves.

Bought this for my daughters 7th birthday and she loves it. I have to say I think it's brilliant too!I read some of the negative reviews and was a little worried how it would perform but for is it has worked brilliantly the timing of the words on the screen and with the music is absolutely fine for us. It looks good especially the lights and the sound quality is really good.We have used it to play just ordinary cd in too for just listening to and I was surprised as the quality of the sound and how load it goes!Super fast delivery too.Brilliant for the money would definitely recommend!

Love this machine. I would recommend it for children under 8. My daughter loves it.
