My Friend Bear (Eddy & the Bear)

A very sweet book about friendship (part of a series) that my little grandson loves! Great, colorful illustrations!

This book was one of my favorites to read to my kids! I love the rhyming story. It’s a must have for any child or grandchild! I saved my original book from when my kids were little and ordered a new one for my grandchild!

This is a super cute story and one of my favorite authors for children. My kids, who are adults now, had some books by this author when they were little. I purchased for my grandson. Beautiful imagery and illustrations! Can’t go wrong with this book!

We already owned and loved Where's My Teddy, and this is a great companion book. In Where's My Teddy, Eddie runs home at the end of the book after being startled by the bear. In this book Eddie returns to the woods and becomes friends with the bear. Both books are easy to read aloud and will appeal to kids 18 months/2 years and up. I love to give books as a gift, and if you know a toddler who likes to read, this book along with Where's My Teddy would be a great present.

My 2 year old loved another Alborough book (WHERE'S MY TEDDY) and this (the sequel?) is also a very cute little book. This story is about a large bear in the woods with its own "bear sized" teddy and a little boy named Eddie with his own little teddy - named Freddie. Bear and his teddy and Eddy with Freddy are alone with no friends but find each other. This book isn't as fun as the WHERE'S MY TEDDY book, but my daughter likes the familiar faces and cadence of MY FRIEND BEAR. I would recommend getting the first book before this, but both are fairly equally fun.

We love this sequel to Where's My Teddy. A perfect read aloud choice for large groups of preschooler's or a first big book for your toddler. The story is rhythmic and rolls off the storyteller's tongue. Start a conversation about making friends and have a giggle too with this story! 2 and up.

A must have book. This, along with the 2 sequels - 'It's the Bear' and 'My Friend Bear' - form an ongoing story for young children to want to know "what's going to happen next?" Excellent illustrations and the rhyming text a good vehicle for literacy work. I used it when teaching and now buy the 3 books as gifts. Don't know why the cover illustrations have changed from the original, but still excellent.

My Grandson loves his Teddy Bear, this story gives us both such a giggle, I love reading it to him.
