I am a lifelong percussionist and am now teaching high school percussion (including drumline). I order these at the beginning of our marching seasons to ensure that students always have some sort of hearing protection. This works great for our students! Taking them in and out isn't my favorite thing to do since you need to readjust them to your ears, but that's a small price to pay to conserve my hearing.

Works Great
Plugs work great at blocking noise. While I run my stand on mowers. The plugs are comfortable for all day use, that I use them for.

Truck driver is able to sleep.
As a truck driver noise cancelation is ok. Noise level some noise is reduced. Comfort good enough for my ears.

adequate, but not the best
they are not very comfortable to what I'm used to. not super soft and doesn't expand as much as others. I typically can't hear my shop radio very well, but with these I can hear the radio fine, which is not good! but better than nothing.
