I purchased two of these many years ago and finally started using them again. I wanted one more so I ordered another recently. I use them for pickled eggs and might use them for pickles too. 18 eggs fit easily, I'm going to attempt 24 shortly. The glass is fairly heavy duty and the lid seals well enough you can shake the contents tipping the jar over.I would imagine if you are careful you could ferment items in the jar, remembering to "burp" the contents periodically.

Perfect fit for my churner. I broke the jar that originally came with mine. Glad i bought a few extra because they’re a nice size. They came nicely packaged and in great condition.

I bought this as a replacement for my butter churn because mine had an unfortunate accident. It fits perfect! I can’t wait to make some butter with my grandchildren. I just wish I could get the lid off easier!

I overhauled my whole canister scenario with these jars. I must have over 20 of them now in all different sizes. Excellent quality - they go through the dishwasher just fine. I use a sharpie to write on the bottom of them - AP Flour, Cake Flour, Bread Flour, etc. I find myself looking in my pantry thinking - "What else can I put in a jar?"
