Pacific Coast Down Surround King Pillow Set (2 King Pillows)

The pillows are comfortable but you need 2 of them since once you place your head in them they immediately squish together and become flat.

I purchased these pillows after staying at a Langham Hotel and being told by housekeeping that they use these pillows. I'd say they're similar, but these pillows seem significantly flatter than the ones I enjoyed at the hotel. However, my neck is more comfortable with a flatter incline so I didn't mind. Also, with two pillows, I am able to make any adjustments I need. That is my review on the quality of the pillows themselves. Now, I must share that I have returned the pillows because one of them was intolerably stinky. Both smelled of wet duck so I aired them in the sun outside for a few hours after opening the box. This reduced the smell for one pillow but the other one was obviously the source of the problem. It was distractingly smelly and I could not sleep well (note: I purchased the pillows from a secondary marketer called DealCat and not the manufacturer, Pacific Coast). I had purchased several other pillows in the past directly from Pacific Coast with no problem. After a few nights, I washed the stinky pillow following the instructions to a tee--including drying it for hours and hours. Still stinky. After speaking to a rep from Pacific Coast, we concluded that I must have been sent a pillow that had been washed previously and it now smelled because it hadn't been dried thoroughly. By this time, it was a few days past the 30 day return period so I wrote off the pillows and attempted to give the pillows a 1 star review on Amazon. I was surprised that the site directed me to speak to a representative who offered to send me a return shipping label or give me a discount if I chose to keep the pillows. I opted to return. I was quite pleased about this turn of events until I got an email which noted that I had been charged a 20% restocking fee. This is fine with me but irritating that they didn't inform me of this up front. So, all in all, seems like a good pillow and a good value. But beware the smell and maybe buy direct from Pacific Coast. I'm giving the pillows two stars because I think they're decent pillows and because I was able to return them after explaining the situation.

Very nice quality. Wgen arrived I did the tennis ball in dryer before puttingbonbthe protective cases. We are side sleepers and these are quite comfortable. I give only 4 stars as the pillows are heavy and you do need to refluff at time during the night. But, thats what feather do. I am satisfied with this purchase andcwould purchase another set.

A little less firm than I had hoped, but tolerable

Pillows can be a pain to buy. You get them home and then wait to see if they last or not. These last. I had to get a hypoallergenic pillow cover due to my allergies. These pillow can get flat if you do not fluff them every couple of days. Otherwise they are comfortable.

Not at all crazy about these. They crush down during the night to a pillow pancake. I wouldn't recommend these to a friend. They do not feel at all the down pillows I love during my Marriott getaways.

We prefer down pillows but found our current ones too soft. The king-size Marriott PC Down pillows are gorgeous and firm, but once you lay your head on them, you can hear the feathers that were used to firm them.

There was nothing to these pillows. They were absolutely flat, and did not live up to expectations at all. I returned them.
