Tuggui Turntable Rotating Bearing for Dining Table (6 Inch)

Really good product. Strong construction, bearings are really smooth, hence effortless rotation. It gets moved numerous times a day as it is used as a turn table for a TV and sound box that the TV sits on.

Bought to replace the mechanism on a lazy Susan I bought from Ikea. Using it as a rotating pressing board/ cutting mat holder. Original mechanism was too small and unbalanced when I used my iron. I needed a base with a larger footprint. Seems sturdy and works well. I have not used for holding anything heavy.Installation: No instructions on how to fit it to the board, so checked on YouTube. You have to remove the three white feet from the pre drilled holes in the centre ring. Do not remove the other feet, as it needs some clearance from the board to move smoothly. You have to provide your own screws. Do not tighten the screws too much or you risk warping the ring. Even a slight bend in the ring will stop it rotating properly. Have saved the three spare feet in case any of the base feet fall out. These plastic feet are the least impressive part of the lazy Susan mechanism.

Perfect for party turntables. Almost invisible.

Bought this for a wooden board on our large round table. Checked weights etc and well within limits but it slides across the table more than turns. The bearings crunch and struggle to turn so it sort of works but definitely doesn’t spin as expected.

Just the job

The reviews of this product seem to be divided into two camps, that it works perfectly or that it sticks and doesn’t turn properly. This is because it will totally depend upon the material it is attached to.Both the revolving plates are flush with one another, so the plate that revolves has to rub against the same material that the other plate is fixed to. If this is glass then there isn’t too much friction and it works we’ll enough (though will scratch over time). In my case it was wood and it really didn’t turn at all. The solution is to attach it and forcibly turn it for a minute or so. If you remove it again it will have left a mark in the wood which can be sanded down to create an indentation. It is a bit of.a pain and is very time consuming, and could have been avoided if only a bit of thought had been applied by the designer.
