Culina 10" Stainless Steel Magnetic Knife Rack

I have a range hood above the stove where most of the components are hidden in the cabinet above. That makes the 12" deep cabinet nearly unusable. But there is space on the sides. So I bought two of these and mounted one on each side. I am hanging up all my steak knives on one side and all my chopping and bread knives on the other. This works perfectly. I've never had a problem with even my heaviest knife falling or moving around.This is also perfect for child-proofing as my knives aren't out on the counter or in a drawer. Plus, it gets my knife block out of my laundry room cabinets where I had stored my knives since my kids were born -- which was incredibly inconvenient!

I bought two of these and they easily handled 8 knives in my kitchen.The only criticism I could add is the following. Even though the magnets are strong enough to hold my knives, these are not as strong as others I've tried. This concerns me a little bit, since the last thing you want to happen is for a razor sharp knife to come loose and fall off these magnets.I think these are very cost effective and appropriate for small to average sized knives, not necessarily meat cleavers and other large knives.

I ordered this product on 11/29 with a promised delivery date of 12/1. On 12/3, FedEx let me know they will never deliver it. Amazon gave me the run around about how I would return this package that "didn't arrive when promised." Interesting how they don't have a "never arrived at all" button on the return/refund screens.I reordered it. The first time it was 9.99, and the second it was 15.99. I suppose my interest in this product made the price jump. Lovely. It finally arrived today (12/14) after a few weeks of waiting and reordering. This knife rack is totally weak.The magnets feel like they would snap your fingers off on the back end, but they failed to put any of that power to the front - or the stainless facade diffuses it to the point it won't hold a real knife. (see pictures) My Global stainless knives were swinging no matter how I put them on, and pivoted at weird angles unless I move them to the top of the blade. Totally unsatisfactory. I've used IKEA knife racks with more power and grip. With these same knives. This is not a tool I would consider suitable for any kitchen unless you are only putting paring knives on it.

My husband makes custom chef knives, and I wanted a way to display them in our kitchen, so this was my solution. It looks really nice. I didn't want to mess up our glass tile backsplash with screws and such, so I went and bought the 3M removable "velcro" strips that hold up to 5 lbs and used those instead. There's a pull tab to separate the mounting bracket and the magnet, and I just folded it down and taped it so it wouldn't show (can't remove it or else you'll never be able to get the two separated if you need to).

I LOVE this knife rack. I honestly wish it was bigger and that they offered a much longer version (in the same price range), but I've owned several of these and this one is by the nicest made of them all. It's incredibly solid. Not just a piece of magnetic metal on the front and some kind of cheap or wood casing on the back (like SO many others are). This one is SOLID and COMPLETELY magnetic - so anywhere your knife lands when you put it up against this, it will immediately hold.Now, will you do me a favor and make several more sizes!!

Love this! The best thing is how easy to install it is. Took just a few minutes. Great to keep knives safely out of reach but very conveniently located. Better for knives than throwing in drawer and so much better than a big heavy knife block for storage. The magnet is very very strong. The one thing about installation is to NOT remove the plastic layer with tabs until installed or u can hardly get the magnet off to install it. I made this mistake and had to pry it off. I noticed too late from not reading thoroughly.

My wife bought this for our overflow knives - and we love it!! It securely holds 1 large knife and 3 smaller knives (with room for 1 more knife easily ) - and they hang perfectly straight. It was easy to install - we put it on the side of a kitchen cabinet using short screws with flat nuts on the inside of the cabinet, and it's not going anywhere. There are 2 magnetic strips that run the full length, so it is very strong, but the knives detach easily. It's perfect for a small kitchen with minimal counter space. Highly recommended.

This is a shorter item, but it was exactly the size i needed to fit on the end of my cabinet. The screws were a bit long, so I needed to cover them on the inside of the cabinet where they went all the way through, but it didn't cause an actual issue. The magnet is very strong and I have as many knives as it will hold, space wise, and it doesn't worry me at all that they will stay in place. This saves a ton of counter space and also looks nice. Highly recommend.

I don't understand why someone else had a problem with this product. The magnet is strong. My 7" Henckels santoku knife is held in place just fine.Easy to install.Great choice if you don't have much space, such as on the side of a cabinet, or if you don't have many utensils to attach.

This is awesome!!I was worried if the magnet is strong enough to hold knives securely, but it holds nicely and looks stylish.It came with 2 screws and 2 plastic mounting helper thing (the ones it spread in the wall as you tighten) to mount more safely.The rack had a plastic sticking out, and I was wondering what it was until I finally noticed that it was to open the back part easily. Because the back is also metal, it gets stick because of magnets. I almost tear the plastic thing by opening the back part... Good thing I didn't tear it before opening the back.Now with this, I can put away knives without worrying about damaging the blades.Easy to store knives and not difficult to take them off from the rack.It's a great buy!

Gave away my old Knife Block and now this is hanging on the wall! Strong magnet, no defects, love it!

They hold up a set of 5 knives great with room for more. I especially like this because the backside is flush so I could use a strong 3m tape instead of the screws.
