Where is this knife made?

This, like most of cold steel's models, is made in Taiwan.

Will this product stand up to salt water conditions ot will it rust?

Any steel will eventually rust in salt water. The SK5 and CPM3V versions of the SRK will rust super fast in salt water or really moist environments without a lot of maintenance. The SAN MAI version of the SRK will resist rust for a good long while. My favorite knife for wet environments is the Fallkniven S1. However, if you’re looking for rust resistance on a budget, look into the Steel Will Argonaut, Steel Will Druid (any knife in the Druid line), Gerber Strongarm, or the Cold Steel Outdoorsman Lite. Of the budget batch I mentioned the Argonaut is my favorite but I would greatly recommend saving the extra $ for a Fallkniven S1 if you want the best stainless knife I’ve found to date

Does SK-5 steel make sparks with a firesteel to start camp fires?

Only if you take a file and put a 90 degree spine on it. It has a black coating and a spine that isn’t sharp enough. So it CAN throw sparks if you use a file to clean and sharpen the spine.
