These things are great
If you need a multipurpose container that is huge and can't beat the price, then this is it. Other containers charge you an arm and a leg and are not nearly resilient as this thing is. Weather proof of course. Leave it outside that's what it's for. Relatively light for its size and cleaning it is the easiest thing ever just put it on its side and soap and water and spray down with a hose and done. if you want it dry take a towel to it and literally just wipe it and like 30 seconds done.

Drain valve leaks!
I had heard about problems with Rubbermaid stock tank drain valves leaking, but decided to take the chance. After muscling this large 300 gallon stock tank into my back yard I set it on a level space and began filling with water. About a third of the way filling with water I noticed the drain valve was leaking. I then had to drain the tank. After that, I removed the drain valve assembly and made sure it was clean. I added silicone (plumbers) tape to the threads and tightened the drain valve assembly. Again, I started adding water. Once again about a third of the way through filling the tank, the drain valve began leaking. I will NOT continue to add water and then drain it out. This product line is defective! BEWARE! You have been warned! I am very disappointed with Rubbermaid. Will not buy any more of their products.

Basement overwinter fish pond
EXCELLENT! After using many different setups through the years I finally invested in another one of these horse troughs and LOVE IT as an indoor overwintering pond for my fish. With some extra fittings from the hardware store I added a garden hose to drain it as needed for water changes for the koi and goldfish. I have the same pond only 12 years old outside for the fish in the summer. It has gone through Minnesota winters and freeze thaw and has never leaked.

Very durable! We gather water from a spring to water our garden. Delivery was reliable and easy.

It leaks.
It leaks. I resent having to shell out for a separate plug kit. Rubbermaid could easily design a decent, reliable plug for the darned thing. Really, Rubbermaid😡
