Can you use an incandescent bulb or only LED?

Either can be used, but LED bulbs have advanced by leaps and bounds since they hit the consumer market and I'd encourage you to look for "warm light" LED. They're indistinguishable from incandescent light, produce no needless heat, can last a decade, and save you money in your bill. They even have "vintage" LED that mimic the glowing filament seen in artistic incandescents.

I can’t figure out how to secure the lampshade to the base. It just spins around. What is the secret?

There should be a small leaf-shaped piece that screws onto the top where the lampshade rests. On mine when it's screwed on fully the lampshade is secure.

Very Nice

Very nice lamp - looks great! I was a bit skeptical about the shade since I read it comes rolled up, but it’s super easy to attach and looks as good as any other shade. I like the 3 way touch. The charging ports are nice to have, but note they are not very fast. They are fine for my phone. One person who reviewed the lamp noted the top of the shade frame protrudes from the top, but they installed it upside down when they attached the shade.

Lovely and Perfect1

Beautiful! Was a bit concerned about having to assemble the shades, but it was easy and they look fine! Not flimsy at all. Perfect for our bedroom. Love the simplicity. Just what I hoped they’d be! Very happy with this purchase.

EDIT: I was wrong

EDIT: So. I am embarrassed to say I was wrong about the lamp being broken, and in fairness have to update my review. On the way to the trash I saw a SECOND on/off toggle on the cord. The lamp has TWO on/off methods and I didn't see this second one until after I removed the wire from behind the couch. My apologies to the manufacturers of this lamp for my hasty negative review. Turns out my husband turned the lamp off from the cord. It's an odd choice to have two on/off switches 🤔 but... In any even the lamp works. I'm still gonna knock off one star for the slow charge ports however, as that was a reason I chose this lamp over some others, and it doesn't really work.Original: I received this lamp march 7th. It was easy to assemble and looked just okay, metal leaves where thin and bent in the box. The charge ports work VERY slowly, but I got it to be a lamp so I shrugged that off. 4 days ago (May 9th) almost exactly 2 months later it stopped working. I tested the bulb on another lamp so I know it's this lamp that's the problem. I wish things weren't made so cheap. There would be an aweful lot less waste in the world. Not to mention the money I'm out.
