Initial review: The knife feels soldid. The quality of the knife is good I’d give it a 7/10 for finish. There are some edges and parts of this knife that you can see weren’t touched up but that being said this is constructed well above its price range at $25 dollars. It has a decent weight to it doesn’t feel like a toy. The blade came dull but sharp at all. The open assist is okay does its job nothing crazy. This is very ideal size for edc and a good size once the blade is open.

So, up front, I really like this little knife. I bought it because I liked the overall design of it, the style and blade profile were just what I was looking for in an EDC item. The last one I was using before this was much thicker and bulkier, and I wanted something a little more elegant and subtle. This one ticks all the boxes, it has a frame lock style, has a quality blade with excellent edge retention and looks really good, but has one major flaw that has ultimately relegated it to the drawer for me. I keep my pocket knife in my pocket, and the handle design and blade profile of this knife make it very easy to accidentally nick my hand on the knife when reaching into my pocket for anything else. Because this knife sharpened up so well, every graze against the blade meant that I was going to be bleeding for a bit, which just got old after about the 3rd time reaching into my pocket for my phone, and bringing it out with a bloody fingertip. It's a lovely knife, especially for the price, but I can't really recommend it unless you're going to be keeping it in a pocket with nothing else but the knife in it.

Knife is small enough that I could wear it on the collar of my Cotton T-shirts, yet it is still a quite sturdy knife. The blade is long enough and yet delicate enough to serve as an excellent steak knife. The blade lock fully engages the base of the blade when opened. I would have like a slightly taller/larger opening tab with better knurling for a more positive opening action, but it is still a very smooth knife. There is almost no side to side play when the blade is open and locked. The pocket clip is too small for my taste, and way too stiff for its size. So I wish the pocket clip was larger, as the larger pocket clips tend to slide over pockets and collars easier, and you can adjust the spring tension they have easier, but that is one of only 2 flaws in an otherwise nearly perfect knife. I also like the jade coloring on the synthetic handles as it has a slightly translucent quality that mimics real jade. It is quite pretty. I can keep the blade nearly scalpel sharp, but the edge needs periodic attention from the whetstone to keep that edge that sharp.

This Eafengrow folding knife is a fantastic addition to my EDC gear! Previously I purchased a larger Eafengrow fixed blade knife which was equally awesome. You cannot buy a better knife for the cost and quality of an Eafengrow knife. The knife came razor sharp in D2 steel, perfectly centered with a tight frame lock, beautiful streamlined profile, and very smooth easy opening using the ergonomic index finger tab. The 3.3" blade length is optimal for legal concealment, too. I am very happy to add this excellent tool to my daily carry!

After watching YouTube vids and reading reviews I had high hopes for this knife. I literally tried to talk myself into keeping it and maybe is warm up to it. However after fiddling with it I ended up completely disliking it. For me, the knife is incredibly thick/wide. I was hoping to get a gentlemen’s style knife from it but I would have been completely satisfied if it didn’t fit that category but I still liked it. But I didn’t. For the thickness of the scales and frame it has a very small blade. Reminds me of the OTF knives that have a large handle with a skinny blade that pops out. It has nice action with the flipper but I fought the frame lock to close the blade terribly. I can hardly push the lock release with just my thumb and ended up needing both hands to close the blade. When I did dig my thumb into the frame lock it wants to go forward and not out the side. I tried over and over and it just doesn’t want to release the blade. The frame also feels like it shifts around after the pressure it takes to release the lock. Not much, but I had same thing with the $7 generics (which I do like for the $ but wouldn’t trust for an edc). Some friends have the Civivi, Coast, and CKRT gentleman’s knives which I was super fond of but I gambled this one to save a few bucks and regret it. Sending it back. Does not feel like a solid knife nor something I can enjoy to open and close.

Takes an edge like a razor blade. Cut up a box to test edge retention good 30 slices, still shaves afterward. Feels very solid, tight lockup, no blade play. Perfect pocket knife, This is my first Eafengrow, it certainly will not be my last. Metallurgical analysis aside, you get more than you pay for here. And that is no assertion that it is not what it says it is, it is that I do not know, and it performs well enough to not care. Easily compares to my more expensive knives, and I believe just replaced my Kimura as my EDC. One poster said blade detent was flawed, mine has a noticeable snap in place as it get about .25in near closed. Very happy customer.

I bought this knife with the expectation that it could be a light edc knife, and it certainly lived up to that. The minimal outer coating and slim blade help keep the knife light without feeling flimsy. The knife has a solid feel and decent hand fit for my hand. The blade itself is surprisingly good. I'm not sure if it's the D2 steel or the plating, but the blade cuts more smoothly than many other knives I've used and the blade resists residue from things like cutting tape better than any other knife I've used. The opening action is steady and it feels secure in the fully open and fully closed positions. It can be a little treacherous when closing, as the blade can come down quickly on a nail or finger pushing the blade lock aside. One other issue is that the clip is located in the opposite position from most knives, being at the bottom of the handle. This makes it a bit awkward to draw and open one-handed if you're used to any other brand of knife.

I originally bought the Harnds Pocket Assassin knife, which turned out to be really long so I returned that knife and bought this one instead. I wanted a smaller knife and the 7" total length of this one was exactly what I was looking for. I also don't like if the blade is shorter than the handle like with the other slim knives on Amazon but the blade to handle ratio is perfect on this one looks wise. Blade looks pretty serious too. Super sharp; I use it to open letters and packages and cuts very smoothly for those purposes
