after seeing the movie it was very nice to read a lot more about the history of the island and the happenings during the war. It also gives you a nice overwiev of all the behind the scene preparations/work that helped making to movie. There is a lot of nice pictures. For people who liked the book and the movie this book is a must have.

Beautifully illustrated book with interesting historical notes and images. Leads you to want to know the real story which inspired the book. Fascinating screening commentary.

I was misled by the advertised title.I thought I was buying the book, but it turned out to be a commentary on the book,
