Zane. This Westmoreland digs himself in a big whole when he tells Channing he doesn't love her. Zane and Channing were an item for months until Channing wanted more and Zane wasn't ready to give it to her. She left Denver two years ago because of Zane. She was back in Denver to do a conference, but she came back with something on her finger. Zane didn't like the ideal she was engaged and set out to show her she didn't care for Mack. When he once again messed up Channing's plans, she left again and did not want to be found. Zane found out from Rico once he swore he loved Channing. He came up with a plan to show Channing he really loved her and he didn't realize he loved her all along.

Zane Westmoreland has brought a new meaning to a drive-in movie. (meaning of a kiss) read the book. It is a short story but you will enjoy it. If you want to read the Westmoreland stories and continue, I am guessing it, Zane is the 24th book. Now on to Canyon and Stern (September 2013).... The sex was off the charts.If you want a good series start with Brenda Jackson and her wonderful family series in all of the following: The Steele family, the Bennett family, the Westmoreland family, and the one that started it all my favorite series is the Madaris family (100th book by Brenda Jackson - November 2013) and friends. You will have a wonderful reading experience. It's funny how the Westmoreland men think they are always in control of their relationships but some how Brenda Jackson pulls out her cupid bow and the female takes command. It happened just that way in this sizzling story with Zane and Channing. Zane repeatedly tells Channing that he does not love her and he will never fall in love but cupid threw her arrow and he went down for the count.Channing has always loved Zane but it took him losing her to someone else (supposedly) for him to realize that he was in love with her. She walks away and he came running. That's right - Channing - stand your ground!As I was reading this story I felt Mrs. Jackson was truly giving relationship tips while at the same time engrossing you into a sensual love story. It was reminiscent of a "How to Love" advice column. Although I would title it "Think Like A Woman but Man Up! LOL Thank you Mrs. Jackson for getting Zane in the love lane. I really enjoyed this story it was full of sensual content with an adoring courtship with plenty of advice on finding love and appreciating it.Nevertheless, another one falls to the Queen of Romance pen; one more Westmoreland falls in love! Great job Mrs. Jackson. I enjoyed it.

This is the first book I've read of Brenda Jackson's and I loved it so will definitely continue the series. I could feel Channing's disappointment and deep hurt even though Zane had told her in the beginning he wouldn't love her or ever marry. He told all his women this but she was the first to be invited to his family functions. Fast forward, she returns to Denver after leaving him 2 yrs ago for a hospital synposium and he hurts her again -the rat. I was Wow how is this going to come together but Channing really made Zane step up. The dialogue was real and situations believeable so I could really get into the story. Then she overhears the phone conversation between Canyon and Zane - back in the doghouse again. Even I thought he fooled me too. I won't tell what happens next but it's good.I'm starting Canyon can't wait to see how this plays out - good job Ms Jackson you rock!diamondgirl

Well, I normally love Brenda Jackson's books and was anticpating some additional Westmoreland action, but this one was not good. I got tired of Zane's back and forth and even the young lady's inability to have some self respect. I hate any story that includes someone having the "fake" fiance' so this one was doomed once I got wind of that fact. This always irritates me. I think what really threw me over the edge was the whole "make me fall in love in with you", "I think I'm almost there". I mean really, what kind of crap is that. Any self respecting woman would tell this %^&hole "call me when you get there and I'll see if I'm still interested." I had to read the rest because I was already invested, and let's face it "I already paid my money", but it was a snoozer. Many times, I will re-read a book when it's finished just to relive the feeling, but in this case. When the end came, it was truly the end. After waiting until July for this release, it was a bit of a downer. I'm holding out hope for the next 2, but I'm not sure. Hopefully a new Madaris will put us back on track. Sorry Brenda, I love ya!, but not this one.

I couldn't remember if I had read Zane before, so I downloaded it and read it. After I did, I went to my bookshelf and found the original book. That's okay, because it was just that good. Brenda Jackson never disappoints and if she wrote the dictionary, I'd read it cover to cover. Zane was the typical Westmoreland male and anytime I'm on the edge of my seat, laughing, crying, and excited with anticipation, it's a great book. This is definitely a page turner that I didn't want to end. A must read!

Reading this now and really enjoying the story. I love reading about the Westmorelands.

Great read easy to follow. Recommended for a cold winter's night to keep your mind going and romantic feelings running.

It was nice to follow up with Westmoreland men.Any Brenda Jackson diehard fans will love to follow up on this family.
